Verbally, I would agree with you. But I still don't think that they would punch me in the face or key my car. The anti EU UKIP lot are the ones that would do that. And that genuinely scares (and saddens me).
Not a good idea Tegan2 to have any aggressive sounding message stuck in your car. Chances are nothing would happen, depending on where the car was parked, but 'Bollox To Brexit' rather than 'No To Brexit' ( although that ship has sailed) is rather asking fir trouble. I see no reason that you can't air your views though, and you are doing, here on a forum for a start.?
Day6 "the appalling, aggressive stuff I read in Guardian columns, the violent, all ready for a revolution." Could you post some links? I must have missed these.
And if you want to really see Guardian readers revolting, just see what happens when there's a problem wth those crossword such as a misprinted clue. The crossword editor must still have the bruises from several years age when * they moved its position in thecpaper*
Could you post some links? I must have missed these.
Apologies. I refer to the readership and in particular the comments left on line by young (I imagine) Labour supporters. The language is coarse and threats and insults abound.
I suggest you read the comments sections on any day of the week. The abuse dished out to the 'bigots' who may hold different opinions isn't hard to spot. Much of it is semi-illiterate too. Times have changed. You might miss it, overlook it or excuse it if you are cheering them on I suppose.....
I think you are fibbing, Day6. I have just been reading the comments on May's speech articles, and not a single threat or insult. I think you are mixing up the Guardian with your usual reading.
I assure you MaizieD. the comments sections of the Guardian are, if Labour policy is concerned, rife with abusive posts directed at anyone with a moderate view.
Still, there are none so blind as those who will not see, as the proverb goes.
The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know.
But the comments section of the Mail is all sweetness and light except for the nasty ones which of course are posted by the nasty left? How anyone thinks they can judge any paper by the comments left online is beyond me
There's never any in between for the right wing on here is there? Read the Guardian, you support everything in it, support Corbyn/the Labour Party, you support everything they stand for. Surprisingly enough most us are much more nuanced and thoughtful in our views than that
Oh but durhamjendoes know everything Day6 what we read what we watch and what we listen to ( even though she doesn't know us from Adam)?I have christened her MI5.
