I still feel that Brexit is wrong though have no idea how stop it. We get mixed messages on the negotiations, DD says that are going fine but the EU side says otherwise.
There was a protest in Manchester where Lib. Dems., European Movement. Open Britain and other groups made their feelings clear.
Our democracy and standard of living is under threat from dogmatism on both the left and the right.
Never mind, we won't have anyone " speaking an eastern european langauage at the school gates, and we can get rid of human rights" ( to quote earlier posters) so it will all be worthwhile
Clearly they don't. John Redwood tweeted this the other day:
The Chancellor must get the Treasury to have more realistic, optimistic forecasts & to find the money for a successful economy post Brexit.
I'm really not sure how the Treasury can make 'more realistic forecasts'; data is data and if it says things are going to be cr*p, things are going to be cr*p.
Basically Redwood is calling for the chancellor to direct a government body to continue the Leaver campaigners' strategy of lying to the public. It's contemptible.
Yes maize brextremists are very good at lying aren’t they?.. like wiping the entire leave web site after the referendum, in the hope that those they lied to and accepted their lies won’t remember when as it is beginning to -all goes pear shaped.
Maisie, I didn't know that the Ministry of Truth had actually been opened. Let's not tell the actual truth but revise it to use as propaganda. Because it is so important to our future it makes me want to weep.
We've had the Ministry of Truth for ages, to do with us being airstrip one for the US. The government definitely believes that ignorance is strength; keeping us in ignorance is definitely their strength, so they believe. Chris Grayling has just said that our trade is growing!!! Black is white as well.
War is peace; that's why we need nuclear weapons to stop other people using them. Isn't working very well at the moment. Of course, we are using Saudi Arabia as our airstrip one.
He has also criticised McDonnell for saying the LP would negotiate a deal. I do wonder why the journalists don't point out that what they are calling 'no deal' is a form of deal and a pretty awful one. Propaganda is winning in the BBC yet again.
Given the popularity of Corbyn it is obvious if he had fought strongly during the campaign we wouldn't have voted out ,instead he dodged interviews, tv campaigns, even went on holiday , but he wanted out so understandable
