I'm really not sure how the Treasury can make 'more realistic forecasts'; data is data and if it says things are going to be cr*p, things are going to be cr*p.

Basically Redwood is calling for the chancellor to direct a government body to continue the Leaver campaigners' strategy of lying to the public. It's contemptible.

I was struck by the idea that supporting brexit is a matter of faith, not reason, and has the propaganda benefit of keeping supporters in line.

May was home secretary. Quite an important post as far as Brexit is concerned.
She was the one who sent vans around telling people to go home.
