This as the Labour Party conference , a momentum fringe meeting.

Corbyn attended Momentum fringe invites but turned down Friends of Israel invite.

Very Donald Trump isn't it?

Clive Lewis is out of the limelight now, thanks to the homophobic and misogynistic remarks made by Jared O'Mara.
The story that 'he's been on a journey' seems to be rather undermined by one lady coming forward saying he called her an 'ugly bitch' a few months ago.
Seems to be the word of the moment for some Labour MPs.

David Mundell called Yvette Cooper a bitch in parliament.
Is that okay because he's a Tory MP?

Primrose65 Tue 24-Oct-17 12:57:40

I don't think a Vicki Pollard defence will help him.

POGS Tue 24-Oct-17 21:19:34

" David Mundell called Yvette Cooper a bitch in parliament.
Is that okay because he's a Tory MP?"

Did he durhamjen?

I watched that PMQ and I thought David Mundell said Leadership Pitch at the time and was surprised to read what followed.. It was back in April and if he had said the word 'bitch' I think there just might have been a call by Labour for an apology by now.

One 'tweeter' user said he used the word ' bitch ' and told other tweeters to pass it on so it went viral. I don't think a name was ever attributed to the original accuser.

Plenty of media coverage reported Yvette Coopers speech and they report David Mundell as saying 'Leadership Pitch' which is exactly what he too declares he said.

Here's one :-

" The fiery contribution led Conservative Scottish Secretary David Mundell to shout "Leadership pitch!"

POGS Tue 24-Oct-17 21:21:08

Primrose

Oh dear , Jared O'Mara .

Couldn't make it up for timing!

durhamjen Tue 24-Oct-17 21:25:48

Maybe you should watch it again, POGS.
Closeup of Mundell shows him mouthing 'you' not 'leadership'.

POGS Tue 24-Oct-17 21:36:50

durhamjen

I have watched it again!

Anniebach Tue 24-Oct-17 21:47:50

It was O'Mara who said bitch not Mundell

Anniebach Tue 24-Oct-17 21:50:27

My daughter lip reads, she is partially deaf, she said -definitely not 'you' lips not formed for you

Where is all the outrage about Gove's comment?
He said it was just a joke.

Better link.

Back on topic. Three additions for the NEC, six names , three are from Momentum , one of the three is the chap who formed Momentum . And I would like to state I am not a Corbyn basher I am a Corbynsceptic

trisher Sat 28-Oct-17 13:14:24

There's a difference between scepticism which means questioning something and openly calling someone a hypocrite and a liar as you have done Annie. That isn't 'questioning' it is bashing. Perhaps you could try posting questions instead of just the same biased statements. For example 6 names for the NEC, 3 of them are not from Momentum. Makes a difference doesn't it.

durhamjen Sat 28-Oct-17 13:35:05

So Gove's comment doesn't matter, but Clive Lewis's did?
That was on topic, Annie.

Are you saying that Gove does not deserve the same censure that Lewis did for making a joke about rape?
Gove's was easily as bad as Lewis's. But you won't have a Tory MP criticised, will you?

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 13:38:33

Me criticise a Tory MP? Never. ?

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 13:40:07

And thread title is Corbyns Momentum , is Gove involved with Momentum?

I wonder if anyone is going to complain about this?

Very on-message. Gentlemen only going to watch strippers in a Tory club.

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 13:58:27

Is momentum organising it ?

durhamjen Sat 28-Oct-17 14:03:46

It's about hypocrisy, Annie. You obviously can't recognise it.

nigglynellie Sat 28-Oct-17 14:55:08

annie [grin

Jalima1108 Sat 28-Oct-17 15:41:11

Perhaps 'strippers' means the Chippendales
(it doesn't say female strippers)

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 16:08:27

Why hypocrisy ? There has always been strippers, it's legal employment , unless you know the strippers are being forced to take part?

Nandalot Sat 28-Oct-17 16:40:08

We are off topic, but the ad does sound a bit salacious. Ok there are strippers but why mention ‘waitresses’ specifically, why not food served at tables or similar.

Anniebach Sat 28-Oct-17 16:45:16

Perhaps because waitresses takes up far less space than food served at tables , it sounds sleazy but no way does it sound as offensive as 'get on your knees bitch'
