"A Labour government under Jeremy Corbyn would be a nightmarish prospect for the business world, the outgoing head of the Engineering Employers’ Federation has warned.
Terry Scuoler spent seven years at the helm of the group, which represents Britain’s biggest manufacturers and is politically neutral.
While publicly castigating “big business”, Mr Corbyn has presented the party as the one to defend the interests of smaller companies.
Adam Marshall, director-general of the British Chambers of Commerce, said the group’s members do not like “artificial” attempts to divide businesses of different sizes from each other.
