Corbyns unknown peace prize was in the Mail today apparently. He joins a long list of people awarded peace prizes you've never heard of. Like the Confucius Peace Prize won by Mugabe.

Youngsters only go to do the cleaning up

And there are millions of pictures out there that will refute this. Many students and young people see Glastonbury as the highlight of their festival-going year. My own children have been and have friends who still go, despite the cost.

Youngsters only go to do the cleaning up

This thread is a joy!
Thanks all, for cheering up what is a miserable day weather-wise.
grin
I should go and do something more productive.
I could make jam.

Ah the much loved (of a few on here) logical fallacy.

I have opinions about Corbyn and his hypocrisy trisher.

You are suggesting that Corbyn is hypocritical but that is not a fact Trisher. It is merely your opinion that he is being hypocritical. As that can only be an opinion you cannot be offering one "on his hypocrisy". This is yet another attempt to put something forward as a fact which simply isn't.

Jalima1108 Wed 03-Jan-18 14:09:09

Do you mean trump's my button is bigger than your button comments?
I did have to read that twice

www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-rothkopf-iran-protests-20180103-story.html
However, I should point out that the above link is only opinion

Primrose65 Wed 03-Jan-18 15:01:41

Sorry GG, not sure where your problem is.
Trying looking up the definition of hypocrite and fact.
But thanks for your opinion!

Day6 Wed 03-Jan-18 15:14:45

She's way out of touch on much more than that, trisher.

Oooh, yet another nasty personal comment there Durham Jen - highlighted to remind others that it's much nicer to respond to posts rather than posters.

Tut, tut.

MaizieD Wed 03-Jan-18 15:35:54

come on, Day6

Where is that list of things the working class want?

Abusing people isn't discussion.

Primrose65 Wed 03-Jan-18 15:53:11

They certainly don't want the Labour Party under Corbyn.
For every 10 percent more working-class voters in a constituency, there has been a fall of about 3 percent in the Labour vote according to an analysis of the 2017 election by Bristol University.
Hardly bringing the party back to its working-class roots.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 03-Jan-18 15:53:32

Sorry GG, not sure where your problem is.

That doesn't surprise me as you are doing exactly the same thing again. I don't have a problem Primrose. You don't seem to understand logic that's all.

trisher Wed 03-Jan-18 16:00:26

GGMk2 Please can you tell me where I have said Corbyn is hypocritical. I really don't think he is.
Day6 Your post about the working class is even less accurate than mine about the youngsters who go to clean up. With one possible major difference. My son and his mates were the ones cleaning up after your children! So perhaps I have more right to speak for the working class than you have.

Primrose65 Wed 03-Jan-18 16:07:28

I believe Corbyn is a hypocrite GG. It's well reported with multiple examples of his hypocrisy.
You can believe otherwise, it's your prerogative. No need to try to undermine me though, why not address the issue of his hypocrisy instead?

GracesGranMK2 Wed 03-Jan-18 16:08:51

Not sure what you are referring to trisher. I thought I was talking to Primrose about that. Give me a heads-up on the post and I will try and sort it out, explain or apologise as appropriate.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 03-Jan-18 16:11:23

Just spotted it. I was talking to Primrose and quoted what she said to you. She had put your name on the end of the bit I was quoting. Not you saying Corbyn etc., etc., but Primrose.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 03-Jan-18 16:42:54

I believe Corbyn is a hypocrite GG.
That's fine - although I think you are wrong.

It's well reported with multiple examples of his hypocrisy.
That is false logic. What is reported is examples of what people believe to be hypocritical. It is not a truth it is an opinion.

Don't worry. I will happily keep reminding you and explaining until you get it.

lemongrove Wed 03-Jan-18 17:06:17

hmm am sure posters will be very grateful for your ‘kindness’ GG

lemongrove Wed 03-Jan-18 17:11:50

Why did you not think that thousands of young people went to Glasto trisher ?

Anniebach Wed 03-Jan-18 17:21:24

I really believe Corbyn is a hypocrite, I voted for him but learned so much about him after he became leader , not rumours but facts , excuses can be put forward to defend him but doesn't change my opinion, he let me down.

One thing I would like to ask those who defend him, why keep on about the working class, votes are needed across the country , he said labour was staking out the centre ground. Blair is criticised for being centre left not far left, is the centre ground going to become far left?

Anniebach Wed 03-Jan-18 17:23:18

If, as claimed the young were at Glastonbury to clear up I can assume BBC Wales televised a different Glastonbury to BBC England

lemongrove Wed 03-Jan-18 17:25:59

No, the far left is trying to disguise itself as centre ground!

durhamjen Wed 03-Jan-18 17:27:49

What facts show that Corbyn is hypocritical, Annie?

By the way, Corbyn actually said 'the new centre ground.'

GracesGranMK2 Wed 03-Jan-18 17:33:27

You are entitled to think whatever you want Annie and I am quite sure that we are all well aware or what that is. It still does not make it a fact. I know you want it to but it doesn't.

Who is 'defending' Jeremy Corbyn. Personally I am defending logic against the general dross of nasty comments personal comments about the man. No one actually mentions him as much as you do.

One thing I would ask Why not ask this of everyone in general instead of labeling them in a way that suits you but means little to others?

GracesGranMK2 Wed 03-Jan-18 17:36:02

No, the far left is trying to disguise itself as centre ground!

Any actual political views yet Lemons? What do you think about what is being done to the NHS, the care system, education, apprenticeships - anything that show your actual political views.

durhamjen Wed 03-Jan-18 17:38:00

Lemon will report you for that, GracesGran, asking her for a political view on a political thread.

MaizieD Wed 03-Jan-18 17:38:21

I would like to ask those who defend him, why keep on about the working class, votes are needed across the country

I don't think anyone is 'keeping on about the working class', Ab. I might be wrong; perhaps you could cite some posts that do?

Admittedly, I was asking Day6 to explain what it is that the working class do want from Labour after she made the assertion that the Labour party was full of middleclass people telling the working classes what they wanted. I would have thought that was an interesting and fruitful topic for discussion but she clearly prefers making sweeping and unsubstantiated statements.

lemongrove Wed 03-Jan-18 17:41:55

Corbyn supporters are defensive...very!
Also apologists for his background in cosying up to terrorists.
