£490 millionwasted spent on changing the colour of our passports. Which we could have done at any time in the last 30 years. Burgundy wasn't obligatory; not every EU country has a burgundy passport.
How many more £millions is this futile Brexit exercise going to cost the UK?
Corbyn has said that he would vote 'remain in a hypothetical 3rd (we've already had 2) referendum. His words have been widely disseminated so I think he would have to put his money where his mouth is if it were to happen.
I suppose thinking about it, if we could have a referendum before March 2019, and the majority voted remain at least we could according to senior QCs and the chap who wrote the A50, simply go back to normal and try to forget this whole embarrassing episode .
oh yes, those ports will be busier than ever- with all the UK tourists driving to Paris or Brussels, Stuttgart, etc, to catch their holiday planes ... on top of all the new customs and people checks etc- oh waht fun.
So, shall we arrange a GN meet up in Skeggy, or Blackpool? I'll swim across- so perhaps Brighton would be easier.
A business woman has tweeted her different experiences in exporting her perfume.
“Tomorrow I will be exporting two boxes of my perfume to France. Not big business, but important to us. Paperwork. Two labels and a quarterly Vat return.
For the past 6 months we have been trying to ship two boxes to India. Paperwork. 42 forms so far and still no export.”
This business woman will also have to pay up front on export to France which at present is delayed for up to 3 months.
Yes I saw that about the fraudster having to pay back money he has purloined from the tax payer.
Another interesting discussion took place in the HoC committee on international trade.
Lord Hannay a former EU ambassador was part of the international trade team before the U.K. was a member of the EU.
He described how, back in the Kennedy era there were major deals being thrashed out between the USA and EU and Japan and how the U.K. although a bigger player than we are now was always marginalised. He considers that this is almost certain to be the case post Brexit albeit with different players in the room like the EU ,USA China and India.
I read that the fraudster, liar and racist is worried that leave is loosing the argument and that the remain camp is getting stronger.
This was bound to happen as the implication of Brexit starts to hit home. Remains argument will continue to win the day the nearer to bre it we get.
A Tory remainer has said “ for too long, the party has been run by rightsingers who are intent on destroying our country. Now we are taking this party back”
A civil rights body has warned of their profound concerns
“A human rights deficit will be created by the government’s withdrawal bill, leaving many different groups in U.K. society without adequate protection.
