24 MILLION of taxpayers money towards this wedding ...and school children in need lose their free meals ..that the kind of country you want to live in ? Not me ,time the medieval concept that is Royalty and lords and ladies and knights was all abolished .I suppose Annie will say I'm a communist now for thinking children should be put beofe these overprivileged waste of good air

Is that an official figure 24 million? I find that unbelievable & if correct unacceptable.

Going by an article I have just read, the cost is not 24 million, also it will apparently be paid for by several sources including the Royal Family it will also benefit the local area, business etc. Not saying it’s right or wrong but it certainly is not as one dimensional as the OP suggests.

The Express quoted £24m for security, and Will & Kate's security was about £20m

So possibly not accurate?

Just read that only the security amount was paid out of the public purse @ 7million for William & Kate.

Also expected boost to the economy of £500 million .
