any thoughts?

For you, lemon.
The only charge of anti-semitism actually is in the Labour Party,( since so many are keen to talk about Hitlers Germany.)
I did try to point out the difficulties that the LP is having with the apparent anti-semitism of some members at the moment, including links to one esteemed newspaper and one not so esteemed but they have, presumably, been ignored as no-one commented
I dislike extremism of any kind, from either end of the political spectrum that is why I find it disturbing that a mainstream politician, albeit to the right of the party, can be labelled a 'thug' yet extremism in the LP is ignored so presumably acceptable.
Thuggism - has Jacob R-M threatened to lynch other MPs yet as McDonnell did? Said if a PM was not dead he would kill him/her?
I am not condoning anything, but am quite concerned at the head-in-the-sand and blinkered attitude towards unacceptable behaviour on the left.
I am concerned about it on the right, too.
There's anti-semitism in the Tory party, too. At least Labour are trying to deal with it, as you will know if you read Labour List.
Anti-semitism, thuggism or both?
I am concerned about it on the right, too
That rather proves my point, though.
I am concerned about it anywhere but so many posters just seem concerned about right-wing extremism but seem blinkered as to any that may be occurring on the left.
Answer to the OP :I believe Mr Farrage is doing what he has previously done , which is what he likes, when he likes,& doesn’t care about the consequences ,he doesn’t give a toss about the repercussions of the ‘mayhem’ ( excuse the pun) that he instigated.
No lemongrove, the UK is NOT a fascist state - but there are worrying signs which are very similar to the rise of fascims in the past - and some of us are prepared to see if, should some combination of changes in UK, the EU and USA and the world at large- it could all accelerate much much quicker than in previous times- as the world is much smaller- and so many countries are truly suffering from war, post colonialism fraud, lack of water and food, or opportunities - which with TV and internet are very clear to all anywhere in the world.
So we must be vigilant and be prepared to act- and Europe united would be in a much better place to deal with all of this- than the UK isolated with their 'allies' (debatable that they really are) on the other side of the world.
Nobody is 'ganging up' on lemongrove because she has different views on Brexit- but we are debating that, in our view- a united Europe would be much much better equipped to deal with the challenges of today- be it the economy, terrorism, crime, drugs, illegal immigration, the environment, energy, etc, etc, etc.
No it doesn't, Jalima. Too means as well. It doesn't mean only.
What do you think about Rees-Mogg's minder being photographed wearing a Nazi uniform?
many posters just seem concerned about right-wing extremism but seem blinkered as to any that may be occurring on the left.
Maybe, as the LP is not in government and their policies in general are more inclusive, people aren't quite so worried about them.
It's not just a 'party' thing that's worrying, it's the stances taken by right wing media, using terms like 'enemies of the people', 'traitors', 'saboteurs' etc to decry people who are either doing their jobs perfectly correctly or expressing legitimate opposition. This legitimises these entirely spurious and undemocratic ideas.
Even the very term 'the people' is a fascist trope. Who are 'the people' for heaven's sake?
Exactly, jura.
This is Italy.

Migrants frightened to leave their rooms while waiting to see if their asylum claims are accepted. Fascists with guns shooting anyone they assume is a migrant because of the colour of their skin.
Nobody is 'ganging up' on lemongrove because she has different views on Brexit-
Accusations of 'ganging up' leave a nasty taste with their implication that everyone has to think alike (no opposition tolerated... that's fascist, too)

What do you think about this, Jalima?

Farage would like this, wouldn't he?
What timing.
but we are debating that, in our view- a united Europe would be much much better equipped to deal with the challenges of today- be it the economy, terrorism, crime, drugs, illegal immigration, the environment, energy, etc, etc, etc.
jura this thread was about Farage and what he's up to now, but then meandered on to what a nasty right-wing 'thug' Jacob R-M is.
I merely pointed out that there are some nasty left-wing thugs as well, but, as MaizieD kindly pointed out, they are not in government.
So that seems to be OK then.
For what it’s worth, I care not a fig for any ‘ganging up’ as I am not five years old and don’t whimper about ‘bullying’.
I give as good as I get.
All I see here is a wee bit of hysteria going on about Rees Mogg. Was his bodyguard at one point in a Nazi uniform?
Was it fancy dress? Prince Harry wore one once, it doesn’t make him a Nazi or a right wing thug.
The UK usually gives extreme groups the cold shoulder, be they on the right or the left.
infacts.org/brexit-britain-risks-swallowing-values-trumps-america/
How many Brexiteers voted for this?
Farage? Johnson? Gove?
Do we really want to be closer to trump than Europe?
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-42979729
This will be good, too. Of course, Brexiteers will only accept a result that agrees with them, but that's the same with any expert view.
A Luxembourg liberal MEP, Charles Goerens, has proposed offering British citizens the option of retaining their EU citizenship for a fee. This "associate EU citizenship" idea could be part of the Brexit negotiations but it raises all sorts of legal questions.
It depends on the fee of course but that sounds quite reasonable - would it be the cost of an EU passport perhaps?
Those who don't want associate EU citizenship need not apply.
I wonder what Farage would do
Another way for the EU to make money.
And a way to retain a red passport!
Actually, I think it's a good idea.
Yes, Harry was just a kid then - and I am pretty sure he would never make the same mistake or wish to- ever. Not because he is scared of consequences- but because he now knows what it means.
Not that much of a kid actually and old enough to know what it meant, given that he had an excellent education.
Zoe Margolis has tweeted an excellent argument accusing the Telegraph of anti-semitism. I wish I could blue it.
Anybody??
Why am I not getting any justification or defence of the fascist language used by the media or by the 'ultra-Brexiter' politicians?
The Nazi uniform is really a bit of a side issue. It's what people are saying/writing that indicates whether or not they have fascist ideas.
