any thoughts?

Since posting, just seen there was a voteof no confidence in Bolton today ...

Cold Sun 21-Jan-18 17:57:04

He still sits in the European Parliament as an MEP - I remember reading a week or so ago that he had had part of his salary docked for claiming for staff who were not carrying out European Parliament work.

durhamjen Sun 21-Jan-18 17:59:00

Half of it docked, Cold. There is some justice in the world.

Perhaps a punishment that would be fit for Bolton ;) (ooops sorry just couldn't help it - but if I was hiw wife- 2 kids in quick succession, late 30s and early 40s - and straight to a mistress 20+ years younger) - but I digress...

durhamjen Sun 21-Jan-18 18:44:24

I was talking about his salary, jura, no idea what you are talking about.
Mind you, Farage did the same, didn't he, so perhaps that, too....

jura2 Sun 21-Jan-18 18:49:25

I know- as said, couldn't help it ...

I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him for sure...

Bridgeit Sun 21-Jan-18 19:11:47

Same as he was always up to ,stirring people up then sitting back & enjoying the chaos he created!!!!'m

Farage was a biggish fish in a very small pond ( Ukip) and doesn't like being a nobody. I wonder who the next leader of that pointless party might be? Could it be Farage?

jura2 Sun 21-Jan-18 20:20:36

Perhaps someone from GN will raise to the task ;)

suzied Sun 21-Jan-18 20:46:39

I now will always call him idle Nigel. I can’t believe he’s only 53, he looks at least 10years older , must be all the wives and mistresses. ( shallow? Moi? )

M0nica Sun 21-Jan-18 20:57:17

Wives and mistresses seem to go with the job.

NotTooOld Sun 21-Jan-18 21:40:36

UKIP should call it a day. They've had their time.

suzied Mon 22-Jan-18 07:29:13

UKIP are definitely toast now. They’ve had 5 leaders in 18 months, they’ve shown themselves to be a bunch of unreliable ego driven charlatans. I’ve read that the current ( not for long) leader’s 3rd wife and children live in Austria! What a great legacy Nige.

OldMeg Mon 22-Jan-18 07:48:56

Farage was UKIP. He was the only one who managed to lead the party. It’s dead in the water now.

jura2 Mon 22-Jan-18 09:21:06

do you think he might come back?

Cold Mon 22-Jan-18 09:37:01

Perhaps he will go back to his old job in the City as a commodities trader?

jura2 Mon 22-Jan-18 10:02:19

and rake it in due to the £ tanking?

jura2 Mon 05-Feb-18 20:35:30

so it is getting worse- stirring the sleeping hornets' nest in Ireland and on Fox News sad he is getting so so desperate for attention and would do anything, anything at all- to get it- and Trump is listening to him too sad

whitewave Mon 05-Feb-18 20:38:23

Adonis thinks that Farage and Mogg the thug are in cohoots. There certainly have a friend called Bannon the white supremacist in common.

jura2 Tue 06-Feb-18 08:44:42

So this is not Farage, but that dangerous man from BF- threatening people and their families:

www.facebook.com/lumpenproletariat/videos/10156073175491796/

Please, as I am not in UK- could someone pass this on to the Police? This is clear encouragement to violence, intimidatation- and as we know, in the hands of the wrong people - can have catastrophic consequences. Please.

whitewave Tue 06-Feb-18 09:02:25

This seems to have been taken off jura

whitewave Tue 06-Feb-18 09:24:48

It is worrying though.

BF and other neo-Nazi groups support Mogg the thug. Mogg the thug is ideologically in tune with Farage and a number of others who seem to have the whip hand in Parliament, even though they are small in number. Obedience to Mogg the thug seems to be a requirement of Maybot. No one voted for Mogg the thugs skewed view of the world.

I think it goes beyond Brexit though and I really worry for the future.

No matter what arty you support you would be sensible to look long and hard at this tiny minority and their agenda.

You may decide that is the sort of authoritarian U.K. you want, although imo it doesn’t sit well with the U.K. I know and our parents fought for.

jura2 Tue 06-Feb-18 09:24:55

Thanj goodness- I hope it was reported to police for incitment to violence-

'If you go against Rees-Mogg and the Right of the Conservative Party, we will find you, where you live and work, and where your family is- and we will come after you' - not word from word- from memory. Chilling to the bone-Stasi/nazi style.

whitewave Tue 06-Feb-18 09:28:04

That’s Soubry and thee and me done for then!

There is so much out there of the neo-Nazi type supporting Mogg the thug it is extremely unsettling.
