Poverty of ideas
Poverty of economy

It seems that NI is as useless said to stay in the Single Market according to EU draft.

Expect a major row from the headbangers and denial from Number 10

Round and around we go.

Have you done the test on mostlyharmless's post?

mostlyharmless Mon 19-Mar-18 21:03:48

So is it looking like a Pyrrhic victory for Brexit?

Have you looked at the agreement; 130 page pdf?
I got to page 12 and gave up the will to live. That was just about UK/EU citizens, and I'm interested in that bit.
I bet Davis hasn't read it, either.

whitewave Mon 19-Mar-18 21:14:56

Well I couldn’t take the test because I only look at the kids pages and never post.

durhamjen Mon 19-Mar-18 21:16:28

It's Newsthump. It is a kids page.

whitewave Mon 19-Mar-18 21:17:58

I haven’t even begun to look at it yet.

What do you think about the HoL opinion that a final vote will only be either accept the deal or crash out? That isn’t democratic

whitewave Mon 19-Mar-18 21:18:18

Oh god

whitewave Mon 19-Mar-18 21:18:48

Time I went to bed with book. Brain ceased to work.

To cheer you up before you go - or when you look at gransnet tomorrow.
Goodnight.

Brexiters are furious at the draft agreement.

Farage has suddenly become interested in fish ? what a complete twat. How many fishing committees did he attend in Europe? Nil.

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 07:38:15

Be interesting to see what the evidence is as to how much Cambridge Analytica did to swing the Brexit vote. They certainly have boasted about doing so.

Gerispringer Tue 20-Mar-18 07:44:23

I think Farage did get a lot of UKIP support in fishing communities, persuading them that the EU was the source of all their ills, nothing to do with overfishing, pollution, UK government etc

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 07:57:54

Somebody just tweeted

No country has expended so much energy on leaving the worlds biggest single market, rather than trying to join it

So tragically true

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 08:00:21

DAGreen tweeted

“The draft agreement does not have provision to extend beyond 21 months. So another cliff edge.”

Is there anything this government attempts ever got right?

GracesGranMK2 Tue 20-Mar-18 08:18:00

Richard Murphy this morning shares the view that the agreement made yesterday was not worth the paper it is written on.

I am struggling to see how the government is going to sell this deal to Brexit voters. Effectively those who say we have moved from being a decision maker to a decision taker look to be right. We are unambiguously worse off as a result.

I don't think the majority of Brexit voters will be surprised. Many of were disillusioned by politics previously. I think this will just put them back where they were - disillusioned.

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 08:32:58

Twitter is saying similar.

One of the issues is that the agreement as Green identified has no provision for extension, which means that we - both the government and businesses can’t possibly get ready in such a short time.

And which of the Leave brigade hired them? I think you will have to go to Independent Media to hear anything about this. Channel 4 depends on Govt for some funding, and the BBC is not to be trusted at all right now:-(

GracesGranMK2 Tue 20-Mar-18 09:34:39

I have not found many of the sources of information some of you have. Always happy to have a heads-up which is why I like all the links etc. It's good to hear from someone who is accessing other sources Yggdrasil.

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 09:39:28

All I have managed to post so far is pictures and the like. I haven’t mastered blues yet.

The information is all on Twitter gg

Arron Banks again

MaizieD Tue 20-Mar-18 10:25:38

And which of the Leave brigade hired them?

I was amused yesterday to see on twitter that folks from Leave organisations are frantically denying that they had anything to do with CA grin

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 10:40:55

Wonder if in the event evidence is produced of gross interference in the referendum, what will happen

whitewave Tue 20-Mar-18 10:43:22

Of course all leave voters did so with a clear analytical mind and no emotion involved at all.
hmm
