A thread for all Corbyn lovers & haters

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 22:57:18

I'm not Ken Livingstone Jen!
I can't help it if he can't talk for more than 20 minutes about anything without referring to him. The interesting point about the article, I thought, was that Ken seems stuck in the past, always looking backwards and remembering.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 22:53:38

Most of the Corbyn threads have been started by primrose, lemon.
She can start another one any time she wants.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 22:51:44

Anyway, the op was just about Corbyn lovers and haters. That includes rather a lot of people, but says nothing about the labour party.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 22:49:30

You brought Hitler into the thread, primrose.
Obviously one is only allowed to deviate as much as you say.
Better give us your parameters.

lemongrove Wed 21-Mar-18 22:49:08

Threads are like buses Primrose ....there will be another one along in a minute.?

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 22:42:40

Not sure why we've moved onto Boris. Has he joined the LP?
Seems there's a pattern now on this thread to talk about anything but Corbyn and the LP.

lemongrove Wed 21-Mar-18 22:39:44

Apparently he was anwering somebody else who compared Hitlers enjoyment of hosting Munich and his own importance, with Putin and the football. He agreed with that comparison. So what!

lemongrove Wed 21-Mar-18 22:37:39

Soubry has gone a bit crazy ever since the referendum, I don’t think the Conservatives have got anything to worry about with her.All political parties have a few crazies in them.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 21-Mar-18 22:07:37

You would think he wanted to wind up the temperature - what a fool.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 22:01:49

Personally, I think Boris should be made to go to the world cup.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 21:56:32

Anything to say about Boris comparing the world cup in Russia to Hitler and the Olympics, primrose?

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 21:53:22

Not me ww. I'm not photoshopping words into Ken's mouth!

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 21:19:40

Yes, GracesGran, Soubry said exactly the same about McDonnell as she said in that article.
I disagree with Soubry about quite a lot in the article, but not the bit I quoted.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 21:13:41

So the Reform Group met in a pub by accident, did they, primrose?
Your posts are getting more and more desperate. Where did it say it was a formal meeting?
You and the FT disagree with her? In that case she must be really worried.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 21-Mar-18 21:13:32

It wasn't just in a pub Primrose. As I said AS was really letting rip about JM on, I am fairly sure it was, a recent Peston show. It seems she is telling anyone who will listen.

whitewave Wed 21-Mar-18 21:07:52

Still flogging the anti-semitism theme primrose

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 21:04:32

Seems that Ken is trying to pave his way back into the LP by giving interviews to the Indy.

It's not going well.

I am not sure that the Tories ever stood up for business. Big business yes, but I don't think they had helped the SME's, certainly not since Thatcher. It's all the brainwashing of years and years of a mainly right-wing press. I would like a party that really does look after the smaller businesses and those companies that have a long term view.

Didn't Soubry have a real go about JM on Peston the other week. She seemed, to quote Thatcher, quite "frit"

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 20:47:54

It was a meeting 'in a Westminster Pub' Jen.
So not a 'formal meeting'.
A meeting of people who went down the pub.

I disagree with her. So does the FT, which I imagine has a good grip on the views of British (and international) business.

durhamjen Wed 21-Mar-18 20:40:53

Soubry warned this week that her party is at risk losing “a generation” of voters and being consigned to the “wilderness”.

The former minister said her party was now in a “terrible mess” and had allowed Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party to be seen as the party of business, as the Tories brace themselves for heavy defeats at the local elections in May.

“We are actually finding that John McDonnell is more accurately reflecting the views of British business, McDonnell, more accurately reflecting their views, their demands of Brexit, than us as Tories - the party that always that stood up for business. It is indeed absolutely shameful,” she told a Tory Reform Group meeting.

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 20:37:52

Any chance of a rendition of “John McDonnell had an Animal Farm”?

Primrose65 Wed 21-Mar-18 20:32:04

Is there a problem posting on the CA thread about this? I'm sure the people who read that thread are missing out.

I'm happy enough for this whole thread to be filled about Facebook, CA or anything else, as I'll just start the next thread about Corbyn when we hit 1,000 posts.

Zuckerberg has apologised and said what he is going to do to put things right.

It's certainly a can of worms.

Someone suggested that classified documents from the MOD and other government depts need removing
