A continuation of Momentum/Intertia/Magnetism.

Elastic? Plastic? Or at breaking point?

A thread for Corbyn lovers & haters

trisher you are sounding like ‘Kevin the teenager’ with your ‘yawns’.
grin

lemongrove Sat 07-Apr-18 19:07:48

Corbyn speaks out does he? He does when it suits him.

lemongrove Sat 07-Apr-18 19:06:21

trisher ‘safe spaces’ are for vulnerable people, not foul mouthed anarchist /Communist groups Jewish or otherwise.
You are dead right I don’t have any empathy with them!

trisher Sat 07-Apr-18 17:33:58

Corbyn speaks out about the appalling violence. and Israeli soldiers shooting unarmed Palestinian demonstrators. A journalist was among those killed

Yawn

Anniebach Sat 07-Apr-18 16:59:11

Yawn away Trisha, it doesn't change the truth , is he naive or a liar ?

trisher Sat 07-Apr-18 16:51:54

I suppose lemon if you are not part of a minority, being subjected to abuse or feeling isolated you would indeed have no need to care about a "safe space". However some empathise more and realise that for some people it is very important

trisher Sat 07-Apr-18 16:47:26

Yawn

Anniebach Sat 07-Apr-18 15:10:35

Is there anything this man knows?

He never spoke to a member of the IRA but shared a platform with one .

He didn't know it was possible to book seats on a train

He only knew in hindsight he was wrong to call Hamas his friends , didn't know about Hamas ?

lemongrove Sat 07-Apr-18 15:05:52

trisher very much depends on their views though.
I don’t care about ‘safe spaces’ ( where did that infantile phrase come from I wonder? It’s used everywhere now)
Especially for any extremist groups, be it Jewdas, the BNP, or whatever. They have to take their chances if they espouse
Extreme thoughts and actions.
Corbyn has very poor judgement which is why he keeps getting it wrong, either that or he agrees with them or he is told to attend by his pushy advisors.

trisher Sat 07-Apr-18 15:00:33

Baggs even if he did check he couldn't refuse he would have then been called anti-semitic. It's typical of the posters on here that because he went he was wrong, if he had refused to go they would be critcising him for that. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's quite funny in a twisted way!

Anniebach Sat 07-Apr-18 14:54:04

Trisher I trusted him, but I accepted I made a big mistake

trisher Sat 07-Apr-18 14:46:03

Primrose65 you posted-^I'd consider an anarchist collective extreme^
Not a statement from them, from you!
I didn't bring them up lemon someone else did. In fact I had very little interest in them, but I investigated and found they were a safe space for people who had been castigated for their views. Surely everyone should have somewhere where they can express their views safely.
Annie Your insight into Corbyn's feelings and personal beliefs is extra ordinary!

Chewbacca Sat 07-Apr-18 14:45:22

Corbyn seems to have a predilection for being involved in groups that he "doesn't know anything about", and then seeks to distance himself from when it becomes public knowledge that he shouldn't have been seen with them in the first place. Is it naivety, lack of awareness or arrogance I wonder?

Baggs Sat 07-Apr-18 14:41:08

If he didn't know or didn't check, he is exposed as a bit dim. Politically dim, as some commentators claim he is.

Anniebach Sat 07-Apr-18 14:37:19

Why not admit the truth , he knew what this group stood for, he chose to attend an evening with them , this - he is an innocent who cares for all doesn't wash

Margaret Hodge sums it up - I thought he was a honourable man, he is a devious man who wants to destroy the Labour Party.

lemongrove Sat 07-Apr-18 14:25:05

Primrose it’s a classic deflection technique , in this case deflecting away from Corbyn and his capers!

lemongrove Sat 07-Apr-18 14:23:20

.....and it keeps happening to Corbyn!

Primrose65 Sat 07-Apr-18 14:21:11

trisher I haven't dismissed them as anarchist at all. They describe themselves as an anarchist collective. I haven't said they have no right to exist either. You're constructing straw man arguments and then calling me antisemitic which is really offensive.

I'm just not going to engage with you anymore on this trisher. You seem to get off on calling posters antisemites.

Jalima1108 Sat 07-Apr-18 14:04:40

Unfortunately, some people are always having mishaps, being in the wrong place at the wrong time and then having labels put on them because of the behaviour of others whose company they keep.

It happens.

Jalima1108 Sat 07-Apr-18 14:02:33

As I've said you can go and have a very nice time at events, sometimes some people get out of hand, sometimes you don't know about it until later, sometimes reports of what happened are exaggerated and falsely reported.

Exactly trisher

Anniebach Sat 07-Apr-18 13:34:20

Definitely worrying if he didn't check. I truely believe he knew of them and shares their views.

Bridgeit Sat 07-Apr-18 13:28:28

And if he didn’t know ,that makes it even more worrying, it is usually ones duty to be aware who or what you attending .

Anniebach Sat 07-Apr-18 13:10:56

Walk out ? Not say it was an enjoyable evening ?

No way do I believe he didn't know of this far left group,

I stand by my view of this man - he is a hypocrite

trisher Sat 07-Apr-18 13:01:00

So what should he have done Annie ? Refused to meet them? said that he didn't like some of them? The papers would have a field day. As I've said you can go and have a very nice time at events, sometimes some people get out of hand, sometimes you don't know about it until later, sometimes reports of what happened are exaggerated and falsely reported.
