It certainly is a tragic ending for doing something so worthwhile in his fathers memory.

Thinking of his family.

I keep thinking of his family - the shock of losing a fit and healthy son at such a young age is overwhelming, but coming so soon after his father's death........his poor mother. sad

How terrible. What a lovely young man.

So very sad. That poor young man, and his family in mourning now. sad

Lots of conditions can go undetected. This young man was a seasoned runner so really no one would have thought him ill-advised to run.

Very sad. I read he was running in memory of his father who died 18 months ago. Tragic for his family.

Tragic - it seems every year there is something like this happening during marathons - maybe there needs to be some kind of health screening for competitors.

Very saddened to read that the lovely Matt Campbell who was a semi-finalist on Professional Masterchef recently has died after collapsing at the London Marathon. He was one of my favourites - and so very young.
