On Tuesday I believe, there is to be a vote in the House of Commons regarding the additional runway at Heathrow Airport. Boris Johnson has loudly and publicly proclaimed his opposition to this, fair enough, and stood for his constituency on the basis of this opposition, including lots of silly statements about laying down in front of steamrollers etc. It now appears, that unlike his Cabinet colleague Greg Hands who stood down because he intends to honour his pledge to his constituents to vote against a third runway, Boris will be
washing his hair out of the country on important FO business ( despite Alan Duncan being pencilled in for this visit). So, what value the will of the people in Boris' constituency?
