" As for Hamas it is regarded by some as a terrorist organisation but not in Europe, where only its military wing is classed as such. It is the party responsible for governing Gaza
In September 2016 a legal advisor to the European Court of Justice, Eleanor Sharpston, provided an advisory opinion, in favour of cancelling the listing of Hamas as a terrorist organization. She argued that the determination originally adopted was flawed, and that the EU cannot "rely on facts and evidence found in press articles and information from the internet" in order to list organizations as terrorists.[441] Egypt,[442] Saudi Arabia,[443] Japan,[444] New Zealand,[445] Australia and the United Kingdom[446] have designated the military wing of Hamas as a terrorist organization.[447] The organization is banned in Jordan.[448] It is not regarded as a terrorist organization by Iran,[449] Russia,[450] Norway,[451] Switzerland,[452] Turkey, China,[453] and Brazil.[454]"--
I would like to give further information if I may.
On the 26th of July 2017 the European Court of Justice concluded and made a subsequent judgement on Hamas and declared ' the continuation for Hamas to remain on its ' terrorism blacklist ':-

The Labour Party has now declared Margaret Hodge is disconnected from reality because she voiced how she felt during the anti semetism row and threats of deselection. They just don’t listen do they
grumpa
Well spotted.

You have contributed some good posts throughout this thread. Your post of Tue 14-Aug-18 15:51:07 summed up what some have been saying on numerous threads since Corbyn was elected Labour Leader and I totally agree with you when you acknowledge this-
" Momentum appear to be thinking big. Their ambitions are fuelled by opportunity through Brexit, facilitated by modern technology and their propaganda is distributed on the high end of information technology and all that it offers in promoting ideology to the young and inexperienced. "
Corbyn enjoys luxury, staying in a Tunisian 5 star hotel with three swimming pools for two days paid for by the Tunisian Government .
Corbyn didn’t declare this visit, Labour claims it cost under
£660
I fear the party and the country is stuck with this man, seems anything said of him which is a criticism is false news, we have our own Trump.
Says it all, doesn’t it?!
The "Peace Prize" he was awarded was Sean McBride Peace Prize, awarded by the International Peace Bureau. Sean McBride was once Chief of Staff of the IRA. One year the Peace Bureau awarded the prize to their own secretary-general! Another previous winner was Chelsea Manning, the US soldier who passed classified documents to Wikileaks.
Listening to the news, large crowd turned out to hear Corbyn, the talk of the wreath laying is all lies from the right of the Labour Party, he won the Nobel Peace Prize last year !
I don’t think he can win an election, could be so wrong. He now disgusts me.
Iam, I didn’t resign , several times I have said ‘that’s it’ , even told friends in the local party, but didn’t do it, even phoned HQ but then backed away, it meant not being part of Welsh Labour, now there is to be a new leader I will probably do the ‘that’s it’ again. I did resign as chairperson of the local party, things were getting nasty and at one meeting a member said of Corbyn ‘I hope he has a heart attack’ that was just too much for me, anger , arguments, so use to them but I remember when Kinnock was in a car sccident and a Tory said pity he wasn’t killed, horrible, that’s hate, so I resigned and stopped going to meetings. I still telephone canvassed for Welsh Labour. Sorry if you thought I had resigned from Labour, I know I posted that I had resigned, seems I didn’t make it clear, not unusual for me !
Annie, I cancelled my LP membership a year after JC was elected. I lived through the 80’s the Michael Foot years. I liked and respected Michael, I was young and believed the majority would see the benefits for “the many not the few” in his Manifesto. I watched Kinnocks rousing speech against Militant and believed he could win an election.
I do not believe a LP with JC as leader will ever win an election. I may be wrong, my track record isn’t one to inspire confidence.
You cN resign, as I did, but find you’re still on the email list, still have ballot papers delivered despite resigning and cancelling the subscription. Daft isn’t it
I saw it on the news yesterday lemon, I was so upset I was going to ring HQ to cancel my membership, didn’t.
When momentum was formed the communist party joined forces with them . They claimed they were supporting Corbyn but it is far more than this. One founder of Momentum is Emma Rees who has now left her position with Corbyn but is busy in Germany !

Just seen the newspaper ( Telegraph) front page with Corbyn saying he didn’t think he helped lay a wreath (to Palestinian terrorists) in 2014...... next to a photo of him holding it! He can’t even be honest about his views.
Anniebach I love the hung or shot! [giggle]. I have this vision of us all sitting in our living rooms or kitchen's whilst the Martians take over saying ' whatever'.
At least we are all still engaged and still fighting for what we believe in, different though our ideology's might be. As long as it still matters, there is hope for the future. Just great!
Not sure what is going on with Tim Faron and Woodcock, they are both from the same area in Cumbria/Lancashire border, but not sure if they are both disillusioned from a different perspective so a common ground looks attractive to both of them. Jalimal is right nice decent chap, but hopelessly out of his depth as the Lib Dem leader. Not seen much about this joining of minds at all. Something to watch though.
So right Annibach it's out with the old and in with the new. It takes time to realise that there is no new wheel, there has always been someone who invented it before they did.
Momentum though has one thing that I have not seen for a very long time, not since the off spin socialist groups who hid under that term, but really were communist's. Momentum appear to be thinking big. Their ambitions are fuelled by opportunity through Brexit, facilitated by modern technology and their propaganda is distributed on the high end of information technology and all that it offers in promoting ideology to the young and inexperienced. They also seem to be recruiting from the young graduate/professional classes, with far left socialist ideology that justify's for them their privilege. When it comes to treating people in the Labour party with respect and equality, as you have exposed on GN Annie, those basic's of their ideology seem absent, demonstrated in the intolerance of some Labour Party members and MPs who stand up against things that they see wrong in the Party.
Their plan seems to stay in the EU but not for the reason's that other remainer's want to. They want to 'democratise" the European Parliament, on that I agree, but that is where agreement stops for me. They also intend Nationalising all things, including financial institutions, which would be easy to do through taking over the EU because of their regulations, rules and directives, the system lends itself to control of 27 Country's.
They also state they want to introduce a Europe wide socialist centric organisation. So similar ideology to JC I think although you will know more about this than me, but from a very different perspective I think. The destruction of Capitalism in favour of the people seems to be a key cliche'. Little knowing or understanding that we have been here before in a fifty year experiment in Russia, that destroyed thousands of lives (their own people) and brought Russia to Bankruptcy. Russia embraced Capitalism not because the powers that be wanted to, they needed to feed their people and protect the rich, which sounds odd in a Communist society, but nothing, even Communism is ever as equal as imagined in the ideology.
Stormer gave us what the young Momentum members are told and the young believe it, they don’t check, don’t ask questions, they are led to believe they can change the world.
If he is, this is not the party I am hoping for.
Farron, even though he may be a very decent man, was like a damp squib.
Why is Faron wanting to form a centre party, he is a Lib, he failed as leader. I am reaching the point where I don’t care who wins the next election. Labour or Tory? Just as well ask ‘do you want to be hanged or shot.
"Stormfront is an Apple store in York. Unless there is another one."
It is, or was, a white supremacist racist website. I think it's been banned now.
Those terrorists castrated the athletes before killing them.
I was realy upset yesterday , this man sickens me, the lies coming from the Labour Party trying to cover up his past.
He can visit and lay a wreath for terrorists but refused to visit the Israeli Holocaust Museum. This will not make any difference to his devotees . Now he is involved in a twitter battle with the Israeli PM, he is sooo Donald Trump. I nearly left the party yesterday, I am ashamed to say I am a member of that party.
Ah, Jalima that says it all! A ranter.
Annibach said "Corbyn was at the wreath laying tribute to the terrorists who murdered the Israeli Olympians but he doesn’t think he was actively involved in it"
There are pictures of him holding the wreath, participating in prayers and reading the memorial plaque to them - but he doesn't think he was actively involved!
Quite right annibach. Clegg assigned the the Liberal's to the political wilderness for the duration as far as I can see. It looks like Tim Faron and one of the Labour now Independent MP's Woodcock, after the Whip was withdrawn for speaking up against Corbyn, are looking to form a centre party. Don't know much about it yet.
