I knew Neil and Glenys Kinnock before Neil became leader, Glen was born in Holyhead and my great aunts were friends of her family. I knew Neil as MP for a neighbouring valley.
On a rather personal note, Stephen Kinnock and my younger daughter have something in common, born on the same bed in the Labour ward in Tredegar
Was pea green with envy when Mandela first came to the U.K. and wanted to thank Glen and Neil personally.
