Dominic Grieve has done more for this country than Corbyn ever could.

Corbyn has only had to stand back and let May flounder into the current crisis. A proper opposition could have made mincemeat of her by now but he’s letting her own backbenchers do his job. Sigh.

I sometimes think the reason why Corbyn tends to keep quiet about Brexit is because doesn't want to take on that part of the job.

The Conservatives will not want to topple Theresa May as nobody wants to be the PM whilst Brexit is in this State of disarray.

We have lost over 2 years to Brexit negotiations with nothing much being done for the UK in general (NHS, Services etc)

GillT57, I agree with you. My children say the same thing, no party deserve their vote. But if we can just manage to get out of the EU we are apparently "on course for a brighter future". For whom, one wonders.

My DS summed it up, like many of his generation he cannot and will not vote Tory, the party of deliberate, spiteful austerity and the ensuing cuts to education, NHS, mental health services and all such, but he cannot vote for the weak, wishy washy Corbyn either with his pathetic empty statements about taking over EU departure negotiations and 'getting a better deal'. We all know that is not and cannot be the case. Basically, a huge majority of this country are unrepresented and it stinks.

They are our government with millions of us behind them.

That doesn't mean that I like what is happening within the party at the moment - does anybody?

The real danger of course is that all this in-fighting could well lead us to the worst possible scenario - Corbyn in power. That would be far worse for the country than any deal Theresa May comes up with.

At some stage in any deal, negotiations come to an end, the EU leaders have ratified this deal, if it is rejected, are they going to go back and change it. Probably not, they will say no, because any new deal is likely to be rejected by parliament as well.

The Tories will go for a plan B and play for time, then they will all go home for Christmas. In the New Year there will be a vote of no confidence, will there be a GE?, maybe but not until mid February at least. Then even if JC wins it is highly likely that the SNP will hold the balance of power in parliament.

A second vote???. Would it give a different result???. It might make it worse and make no deal inevitable MPs would not welcome that

Well we are in political meltdown now, though all the leavers claimed it would be the EU that would meltdown and we would be in clover. The government have spent 2 years wasting time with no preparation, the opposition are next to useless and the Tory backstabbers are out in force. The country are divided, another referendum would make that division worse, where do we go from now? Maybe we should do a Belgium and do without a government ( didn’t they have no government for about 2 years recently and no one noticed?)

Not if our sovereign Parliament has anything to do with it. They are determined to remove the 'no deal' option completely. Thank heavens the interests of the country are their foremost concern.

Nope, very little integrity going on in Parliament, but plenty of self interest.
Corbyn and team doing all they can to get an election, Remainers from all sides trying to forget that they gave the go-ahead to the referendum, and then gave the go-ahead to triggering article 50, some Leavers who want a hard Brexit only and won’t consider any compromise.....what a shower.

I think they're both committing political suicide at the very moment, lemon. And if, by some miracle, May gets her Withdrawal deal through parliament, the tories are dead anyway because everyone (apart from you) hates it.

If we're going to have political chaos and a shakeup of our 'system' (which we desperately need) I'd rather we did it within the EU as we'd then, at least, be on a sounder economic footing.
