As others have said, what is wrong with a second vote, this time based on facts? If Leavers are so sure they are in the majority they have nothing to fear and surely would appreciate the confirmation. I believe a second vote is the only way to make the public accept whatever is decided. Otherwise we may well start behaving like the French.
Interesting that the front page of the Sunday Times said that the vote wouldn't happen. Wonder who/what they knew that the BBC didn't?
