Not sure why Riverwalk’s post was deleted. I thought it was a rather clever riposte and wished I’d thought of it myself.

Possibly it was deleted because once the first one had gone, as a stand-alone comment without the context of the first, it perhaps could have been seen as libellous.

Well well well. Another stabbing, this afternoon on a train from Guildford (Surrey) to London Waterloo. Happened near Horley Station and perp ran. No description yet but the victim, in his 50s, died.

We know nothing about the perpretator of this atrocity.

How likely is it that it was someone with mental health issues? Of course it could have been someone with a political agenda, or it might have been both.

I don't think the Horley stabbing is suspected to be anything to do with terrorism so why mention it on this thread? It seems it was the result of a fight

Apparently (and sadly) the victim's 14 yr old son was with his dad on the train.

Police description: Black, 20s-30s, 6ft with beard dressed all in back plus white trainers.

The man arrested at Victoria station, Manchester was detained under the mental health act, to a secure unit. He was known to m.h services. I’ve seen some vile comments on line (not here) talking about him ‘playing the mental health card’. Nope, to be sectioned, he is very ill and a danger to himself and others, as his actions proved. Friends were on the station as the incident was being responded to.

MH services are under so much pressure. I wonder how much MH issues have escalated in the last...say...5yrs, 10yrs and what are the likely triggers or reasons.
Will we ever know?
