Annaram1, you had the right to vote any way you want, as do Remainers. I suspect that a lot of Remainers will also vote to leave next time there is a Referendum because they will be voting for Democracy!

Anna Soubry
(290 Posts)MP Anna Soubry has criticised the police for failing to intervene after she was verbally abused by protesters outside Parliament.
The Conservative ex-minister was accused "of being a Nazi", while being interviewed on the BBC News channel.
She called for the protesters, who were wearing yellow vests, to be prosecuted under public order legislation.
Commons Speaker John Bercow said he was worried about a "pattern" of women MPs and journalists being targeted.
Raising the issue in the House of Commons, Labour's Mary Creagh said the "really vile, misogynistic thuggery" that had been seen was not an isolated incident.
She accused far-right groups of re-playing Monday's clip and others like it on social media sites to "raise revenue for their trolling activities".
Ms Soubry, the pro-European MP for Broxtowe who supports another Brexit referendum, was subjected to verbal abuse while being interviewed by the BBC's Simon McCoy.

Anniebach. Some people just like shocking headlines and not the truth. It suits their divide and rule agenda.
Sorry, that link doesn't work, I meant to press preview. I will try to find another one.
Here is a link which contains the statement from Merseyside police. Of course the main stream media which had already published the propoganda, did not correct it.

I suppose I will upset a lot of you by confessing to being a Brexiteer, My brother was recently send an email from somebody in the Netherlands who told him that Europe is terrified of the UK leaving because without our contributions they will all have to pay more. I am not going to change my mind even if there is another referendum.
They are as far from anarchism as you could get.
They are "Nazis" but they have no concept of the meaning of fascism.
Anniebach No female MPs needed protection at the Labour party conference.
The police put out a statement confirming that.
There was a photograph shown that happened to have the MP who was trying to suggest this in the vicinity of a policeman but he was not there to protect her and it is shameful of her that she did not correct the false impression.
Luckily though, as I have said, the Police did correct it for those who wanted to know the actual facts.
I think that the yelling was unpleasant but they surrounded her as she walked back to the House and that must have felt very intimidating. They were very close to her.
I think that they should be charged for that under public order offences, but not for the heckling, nasty though it was.
These people don't represent the majority of Leave voters. They are alt-right thugs who are just looking for an excuse to be obnoxious. They are Robinson supporters.
The Tories have done a lot to foment division in the country and that is a dangerous thing to do and they must take some responsibility for this. She said 'this is what is happening in this country' as if it has just happened spontaneously.
However badly the Tories behave though, including the yah booing in the HoC and their treatment of the less fortunate, particularly the disabled, these men are just thugs who should be treated as thugs and dealt with. Otherwise this can only spread.
Anniebach I do not excuse an attack on any MP, but there is no comparison between one old man saying silly things in a non-threatening way and a large mob of violent louts behaving in a very threatening manner. Remember the late Jo Cox MP. As far as I know, no brexiter MP has ever been attacked by a remain supporter, let alone murdered in the street.
I hear that the police are going to be given guidance on how to deal with these situations in the future.
This is important as the number of demonstrators outside Parliament on the day of the "meaningful" vote is likely to be swelled by far more of these types.
They are just a very vocal group of extremists who are probably more like Nazis themselves in their views about why we should leave the EU.
I actually don’t like Anna Soubry at all. I think that she walks all over people and seems very uncaring. Those comments shouldn’t have been said. However I wonder if our MPs have any idea what crimes are taking place on a very regular
basis, multiple phone calls to Police and no response. Anna Soubry expects arrests for verbal taunts. She and a lot of our politicians are not in the real world and are protected from much of what to us is real life.
Just what I was thinking, ReadyMeals. Maybe the tv people like having these encounters.
The mob behaviour was disgraceful, but I would be prepared to put up with it in exchange for an MP's salary and pension!
Also your point about holding interviews indoors - there must be press rooms or suitable rooms where interviews can be conducted instead of outside in front of jeering mobs of all persuasions and in all weathers?
Readymeals re your comment at 10:43:08, I thought that too - very odd!
Cos mostly those shouters are encouraged to be there by the knowledge they will be seen and heard on TV. If they didn't have that audience then they might ease off a bit.
Is it not possible for the TV and press to have their interview suits indoors or inside trucks or something? To create a) some noise barrier and b) somewhere humanely warm for their interviewers and technicians to work
The BBC is biased - where are the docu-dramas giving a view from the Leave vote?
Almost all pseudo intellectual 'celebs' and 'lovies', all avid social media users, are in thrall to the Remain vote.
Almost all our MPs were Remain voters.
The Government itself was almost totally in favour of remaining in the EU- so much so that it used taxepayers money to print and send Pro-Remain leaflets to every household in the UK.
Given all this the ordinary British voter saw through scare stories broadcast by the Remain supporters - emergency budget-no planes going to Europe-etc.etc.etc. -
If the vote had returned a Remain result we would never have heard a peep about a ‘divided country', all would have been sweetness and light - the establishment would be in contol again, the political elite’s career path would have been left undisturbed, MP-LORDS-EU beaurocrat. All would be well with the world.
But, they made the mistake of asking US, they don’t do that very often. We spook, we understood, we want to leave.
Arguably this is the direct result of having politicians only available for meetings with carefully selected people.Meetings used to be places where politicians could be heckled, such things no longer happen, but it is posssible to get a point of view publicised by shouting or demonstrating as an MP is interviewed by the media.
It was disgraceful behaviour, not matter what your political leaning or EU stance. It was noticeable that it was a relatively small group of males. I don't suppose for one moment they have the mental capacity to consider the pros or cons of Brexit, they are leaping on a bandwagon so they think they have an excuse for intimidatory behaviour.
The saddest thing for me is that the police did nothing when she was surrounded. It is one thing to listen to thugs from a distance spewing their hatred, another thing entirely when they are in her face.
There was very little publicity when George Galloway was badly assaulted and hospitalised when leaving the BBC. He had been on the panel of Any Questions. His assailant was charged and had a prison sentence. When he was in parliament as an MP he never voted for cuts to our police forces. Have a peep at Mrs Soubry's voting record. Just saying....
There were police standing in the doorway to help her into the building, why didn’t they move out of the doorway and order the mob to clear off.
Anna Soubry is a Tory MP as well.
Totally agree Mawbroon, Bercow should look to his own actions. Saw a pic of Anna S being surrounded by a group of jeering men as she was walking back into parliament. Disgraceful! What 'brave' chaps surrounding and trying to intimidate a lone woman. Why didn't the police intervene?Yes, you should be able to challenge anyone's views but this was bullying and abusive actions taken by a group of yobs.
Perhaps if everyone had accepted the democratic result of the referendum and MPs had enacted the wish of the majority then all this disgusting behaviour would have been avoided.
varian you are excusing a verbal attack because it was a Tory MP, there is no excuse be it one person or 100, it is wrong.
