Seriously, without creating bad feeling, I cannot understand it and don't know who to believe.

crystaltipps well noted!

gabriella you’re not biased? You admit to being a Tommy Robinson. Supporter. UKIP now part of the far right. Even Nigel Farage has left them

GabriellaG54 Thu 31-Jan-19 05:37:47

...and your typical Brit is...?

singingnutty Thu 31-Jan-19 00:12:17

Watching the news tonight and footage from the European Parliament. Nigel Farage was sitting there smirking. I wouldn't be surprised if our hopes of them agreeing to some changes are scuppered by them thinking he is an example of typical Brits. He is beyond contempt IMHO.

Yoy're a remainer, hence the very biased explanation.

Thank you MaizieD a clear and articulate explanation with good references and actual facts as opposed to opinions

What about Ireland and a possible hard border. That will be cruel for them.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 30-Jan-19 21:20:21

I for one petra just want out!!

You say you want to know more about the eu? Perhaps you could start by looking at the info posted by Grannygravy and give your opinion.

Grannygravy
The eu have 2 options, don't they: the big hitters will have to put more in the pot to keep the project going or the poorer eastern countries will get less.
I'm sure the richer countries will love paying more.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 30-Jan-19 20:37:09

UK’s contribution to the EU is the equivalent of the value of the 19 lowest contributors of the 27 member states.

Obviously the likes of Merkel, Macron, Junker and Tusk are not at all bothered if we leave????

GabriellaG54 Wed 30-Jan-19 20:22:55

Lily65
Google UKIP for info. I can't be bothered to give you detail.

Lily65 Wed 30-Jan-19 20:14:51

Oh for God's sake, there is no bait. I am trying to gain an understanding. I don't know any UKIP supporters and I am interested.

That's it.

GabriellaG54 Wed 30-Jan-19 20:09:20

I actually quite like Russia having been to that country once (years ago) and have a good number of books on their politics.
There are aspects of their policies with which I am in total agreement.
As for detailing my alliance with UKIP, that is and remains, my business.
Honesty does not mean having to justify ones preferences, especially to those who are obviously not in agreement and who simply want an argument.
I'm not rising to that bait.

cagneystrilby Wed 30-Jan-19 20:03:59

Nope!

GabriellaG54 Wed 30-Jan-19 20:00:35

varian @19.51

Funny...I thought the majority of the UK who voted to leave were in favour of the EU shackles being removed.

varian Wed 30-Jan-19 19:59:06

Mr Putin will be so pleased with you Gg as he is with all ukippers and leave voters. If the brexit nonsense is not stopped the West will be weakened and he will be laughing all the way to the Kremlin.

Lily65 Wed 30-Jan-19 19:58:10

Since this thread is about honesty what do you like about UKIP?

GabriellaG54 Wed 30-Jan-19 19:52:46

I have NO plan B and remain a LEAVER as I always have.
I voted UKIP and still support their stance.
If you have to have a plan B, it means that you haven't put 100% faith and energy into Plan A and I have and I do.

varian Wed 30-Jan-19 19:51:45

It is obviously a huge advantage to anyone to be a citizen of an EU country and it is appalling that there is a serious danger of all UK citizens being deprived of this advantage against their will.

NO. I should have put that word in parenthesis.
According to many GNers who have, in the past few weeks, posted that they would seek to avail themselves of an EU passport through having GPs born in an EU country, 'just in case', they see that as an advantage.
I do not.

Miche Wed 30-Jan-19 19:46:44

Thank you .

Lily65 Wed 30-Jan-19 19:42:18

I suppose it must be nice to have some sort of fall back position.

GabriellaG54 Wed 30-Jan-19 19:40:48

I really don't understand why some on here push others to only think of their GC. What about us ?
What about our AC ?
I blooming well matter and who knows what will be the state of the world in 10, 20 or 30years time?
The world has changed immeasurably in the past 10-20 years and it will change in the future.
Disengaging ourselves from the EU as it is at present, will start a domino effect, mark my words.
Things will change for the better and Macron and Merkel will no longer hold all the cards.
You have only to read the news regarding those two countries, to know that all is not well.
Plainly put (without all the links and opposing views put forward at length on here) we will be saying goodbye.

Yes, it looks like full steam ahead now as Yvette Cooper's hijacking amendment was defeated and Brady's bill was successful. May needs to see if the EU will bend regarding the Irish border.

This is the last leg hopefully, if Remainer MPs in Parliament do not devise another way to hijack the process. I for one will be cheering on March 29th.
