Yes suzied, but the majority voted for this heap of sh*t, and in spite of the circus going on around her, TM is trying to deliver. I voted remain, but I accept that the leavers won. I have said my piece ... nothing more to be said. The people have voted, no point me saying it wasn’t fair. It’s done.

According to The Telegraph (aka Torygraph pro-brexit and right wing), we are not exactly committed yet Pyth. They say-
"We are about to enter what the great Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson called “squeaky-bum time”. Next week, decisions must be made.
First, on Tuesday, Parliament will vote for a second time on Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement.
If she loses, the next day Parliament will vote on whether to remove the option of a no-deal Brexit.
Should that happen, then on Thursday Parliament will vote on whether to delay Brexit."
no point me saying it wasn’t fair.
Well, there is a point because it wasn't fair.
Setting aside the whopping great lies (which people who'd be appalled by a lying advert seem to think is absolutely fine in helping people make momentous political decisions, like leaving the EU) there were breaches of the Electoral law, Russian interference and huge question marks over the source of some campaigns' funding. Theresa May knows that it was corrupted, her Attorney General said in court, very recently, that she knew, but she pressed ahead with it anyway.
Thinking that there is no point in objecting to the corruption of our democracy seems wrong to me. That's why I'm marching.
hear hear- adn so wish I could be there with you x
GPs have received 3 letters from the Dept of health warning about the Serious Shortage Protocol for medicines, their stockpiling and the airlifting of short shelf-life radioisotopes for our cancer treatments. The last letter came 2 weeks ago. Virtually all our insulin comes from the EU. It will all get here I am sure but there will be costs, bureaucracy and delays. No-one voted for this.
Or did you? If you did and are prepared not to recive essential medicines or be treated for cancer - fair enough- your choice I suppose- perhaps you feel you've had a good innings and that it is OK.
And again, would not wish ill to anyone - but I so hope it isn't your children or grandchildren who have to go without.
This is NOT scare mongering.
Jura2 - You say no one voted for shortages of medicines ....
Problem is, no one knew what they were voting for ..... personally, I never invest in something I don’t totally understand.
You say we were told lies and misinformed, it wasnt fair .... yup, life ain’t fair. Every day we are told lies and misinformed. Sadly Brexit is one of those lemmings over the cliff situations. The press love the headlines, the drama and they have to find something to sell their papers. The masses jump on the bandwagon, even if they haven’t checked it has four wheels! People are easily led ..... look how the Germans blindly followed Hitler because he told them what they wanted to hear at the time. Why did the Germans believe him? people ask? Couldn’t they see they were being hoodwinked? Only some of them could ... the masses surged and carried the day. Sounds familiar?
The Role of Personality, Authoritarianism and Cognition in the United Kingdom’s 2016 Referendum on European Union Membership
"The results of the United Kingdom’s 2016 referendum on European Union (EU) membership have highlighted deep societal divides. In six studies, we examined the role of personality traits, cognition and cognitive biases in relation to referendum voters' choices. A total of 11,225 participants completed questionnaires and controlled experiments, which assessed differences in personality traits, levels of authoritarianism, numeracy, thinking styles, and susceptibility to cognitive biases including ideologically motivated numeracy and reasoning, framing, and the Dunning-Kruger effect. Participants expressing an intent to vote to leave the EU reported significantly higher levels of authoritarianism and conscientiousness, and lower levels of openness and neuroticism than voters expressing an intent to vote to remain in the EU. When compared with Remain voters, Leave voters displayed significantly lower levels of numeracy and appeared more reliant on impulsive System 1 thinking. In the experimental studies, voters on both sides were found to be susceptible to the cognitive biases tested, but often, unexpectedly, to different degrees. These results raise important questions regarding the use and framing of numerical and non-numerical data for public consumption."

In the case of Brexit, Pyth is wasn't exactly 'the masses' surging. It wasn't 'a few' going against the grain, the vote was pretty evenly split. Scientists would tell you that a result with such a narrow margin would not be counted as significant.
1930s Germany is such an odd analogy to use; Germans are castigated for not trying to stop Hitler; we are castigated for trying to stop Brexit, or at least for expressing our disapproval.
Life might not be 'fair' but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to make things more fair that we could have influence on. If our forebears had all sat back and tolerated life's 'unfairness' we'd still be in the Dark Ages...
Maisie - what one considers fair or unfair depends on one’s perspective.
I think Germany is a good analogy. The pro Hitler were sucked in by the promises of the good stuff he peddled. So much so they didn’t take note os the bad stuff ..... u til it was too late and there was no turning back.
It doesn’t matter about the percentages that were for or against. He who shouts the loudest often drowns out the voice of reason. The voice of reason is usually quieter than the screaming masses. You only have to look at history to see that.
I was a Remainer ..... but as we lost to the Leavers, Let’s get it over and done with and move on.
You were right the last time Pyth and I hope that if you get a chance to vote on the deal, you will do the right thing again. You know by now, as we all do that the referendum was won by lies and cheating and the effect of any kind of brexit will be to harm our economy, our security and our standing in the world, so sensible people like you should vote to stop it from happening. That is the only way it can ever be over and done with.
a march won't change anything.
we are leaving the EU
Are you not going in Farage,'s march tben?
my numeracy is very low, I am so muddled, but glad Leave won............
Bless you Andy....low numeracy too? Never?
You are a typical confused Leaver type, aren't you?
<sigh> <eye-roll>

alas yes
quite dim and
luckily totally kind and stunning looking, quite a blessing to be dim and cute...........
Theresa May has flown out to. Strasbourg. She met with Iain Duncan Smith & Steve Baker first. IDS came out looking happy.
Marching may not be necessary if it’s good enough to get a majority vote tomorrow night!!
?
wow her air miles must be astonishing and her hemline is far too high..
heavens above
what does she
hope to achieve....
nada
out we go easy Brexit that we majority voted for
Not sure andyC
As a Leaver I’d be okay with out on ‘no deal’ but all the Remainers would be up in arms I think. I feel a deal if it can be deemed good enough might be the compromise we all need to put it to bed. Finally!
If Angela Merkel is speaking up, it’s agreed.
Maybe that was why Barnier was over in Ireland? Not just the rugby - maybe getting Varadkar on side?
Sinn Fein will be furious.
As will Anna Soubry..... she’s burnt her bridges going with Chukka. They’ll be irrelevant now. And Keir Starmer too.
Parliament asked her to bring back concessions. If she has got something it might just be enough!
I hope so. It would be GOOD NEWS!
Sorry.
Wrong forum!
I doubt it
she is a liar and a traitor
her deal is remain
urmston
you are a great happy poster

jura2 what you said there beggars belief. Beyond awful.
Varian - like most calamitous decisions, the stupidity of them is almost always seen in hindsight .... I expect this will be one of them! But then the cry will be, it’s the governments fault, they didn’t handle it properly! I hate to be a cynic .... I guess I have lived too long and seen too much!?
Looks like there isnt going to be a Brexit.
What a total fiasco!
If you are right Pyth that would be a cause for celebration.
The delay will be so long people will forget about it! Lol!
