Thank you for your post.
I think there are probably very many at the bottom of the pile in Europe who do not concur wholeheartedly with Hestletine. I dont know how he can claim 70 years of peace is purely the result of the EU. what about the rest of the world? have other areas of previous unrest been quelled by forming federations and melding into one supernation? No.
As can be shown unrest flares from either simmering unrest, feeling of injustice, cultural or religious differences.
Whilst the common market enabled post war growth and rebuilding by trading cooperation, since Maastricht the ideology has changed, poorer countries admitted and enslaved by the now more powerful north european countries. Their workers exploited and their governments puppets to the decision makers who graciously enable infrastrucure grants which go into factories to make and roads to transport the cheap goods to the dominant nations to sell for excess profit.
The problem is the workers are 'cottoning on' and beginning to realise the exploitation that is taking place and just exactly as I mentioned in a previous post Heseltine named these workers concerned for their futures as 'left wing hooligans'. Why are these so called lefties arising throughout the EU? Do happy communities start uprisings?
The signs of unrest are riven through the EU for those who look. For those who see utopia and visions of happy work and life somewhere within the EU, look at the unemployment rates especially youth unemployment. French youth are anticipated to be 60% poorer than their parents, UK youth 30% poorer. Apart from retirees, I wonder how many Brits work in the EU especially in manual or unskilled jobs. Our high skilled workers find work throughout the world and are not dependant on the EU for employment. Travel to almost any destination in the world and you will find a Brit. Our skills, expertise and products are held in high regard we need to exploit these markets on our terms. Additionally, there is little we purchase from the EU that cannot be sourced elsewhere and likely cheaper.
