Hi everyone -

If you are at all politically minded and would like to share any GOOD NEWS about Brexit, or would just like to post some optimistic thoughts - this is the thread to love.
❤️

Most of us are weary of the gloom and doom on GN! Let’s share positive news and views. Its time to look for compromise, be kind and inclusive with one another if we can. Life’s too short to be scared or miserable!

Stop peeping. C’mon in! We’d love to hear from you.

(wish they would exit)

nanasam Mon 18-Mar-19 19:58:44

exist!

nanasam Mon 18-Mar-19 19:58:26

Agreed, Bridgeit, perhaps they exit just to thwart everyone else's attempts at 'fun'

Playground bullies on here showing their vindictive natures. So sad. Says more about themselves doesn’t it?

Anyway - the last thing the EU wants is a bunch of British euroskeptic MEPs if they do agree to an extension of A50. - - they are going to have plenty from many other European countries. The project is floundering and the UK remaining in (well, half in, because that is the maximum amount of enthusiasm there is for the EU in the UK) on top of all the other issues at the moment will not be helpful to the project.

Sad to see some posters have made sure the intention for this Thread has backfired spectacularly ?

Gonegirl Mon 18-Mar-19 18:46:24

alima didums did the nasty big girl come and play in your garden and not want to join in your game? How horrid of her - how dare she. Just grow up - no one owns a thread. How pathetic.

Gonegirl Mon 18-Mar-19 18:10:47

Alima! shock

Gonegirl Mon 18-Mar-19 18:06:35

You can't blame Mr Berkow can you? (Does anyone else thinks he's quite cute?) smile

Along the lines of Tom Hollander.

crystaltipps Mon 18-Mar-19 18:05:18

alima I won’t sink to your level, but will point out you don’t own this thread, it’s a public forum and anyone can post, so stop bullying. If you just want to read your own views , head off to the EDL website or wherever. According to your metaphor, the U.K. are the biggest rats.

Asked by Sky’s Sophy Ridge if he wanted to leave the EU, Mr Corbyn said: “I want us to have a serious relationship with the EU.”
Pressed on the question of “do you want to leave the EU or not?” Mr Corbyn went on: “I’ve had many criticisms of the EU”

Says a lot doesn’t it?

Urmstongran Mon 18-Mar-19 17:25:52

p.s. loving the jokes on here! ??

More GOOD NEWS to share:

‘Remarkably, lots of MPs seem to think that it is important to stay in the customs union, thereby continuing with the current tariff regime. Some confuse the customs union with a free-trade area and accordingly assume that it inevitably boosts trade. If only they could realise that the customs union is at the heart of the EU’s protectionist racket. Leaving it is one of the major gains to be had from Brexit.’

Would think that was the case reading some posts on GN.)

maryeliza54 Mon 18-Mar-19 17:00:20

Jolly good news from the Speaker what ho?

annep1 Mon 18-Mar-19 16:58:33

Whatever happens we can still be happy.?
Some people don't have clean fresh water. Now there's a problem.

OurKid1 Mon 18-Mar-19 16:56:56

There was an item on our local news this lunchtime about a flood prevention scheme (the Somerset levels) which has been carried out by a Dutch firm. The manager of that firm was being interviewed and, when the reporter mentioned the B word (maybe hoping for a controversial comment ...) , the Dutch guy said something along the lines of "We're all friends and will stay that way, whatever happens." Wish I could find the clip, but I can't.

Beggars belief why some insist on posting on this thread.

They must be determined to spoil it. Why?? What harm are we doing, trying to be cheerful and OPTIMISTIC?

I’m happy to be on here, amongst like minded Leavers!
