They smear anything to do with Farage. Campaigners are out in force aren't they? So voting to leave the EU is reminiscent of facism? That is deluded and desperate. When will leavers be termed Nazis by Remainers, one wonders? How low can you stoop?

Using echoes of fascism/Mosely because (MILLIONS) of people want to leave to leave a political and controlling European union based in Brussels (and save ourselves £39,000,000,000* into the bargain) means that all those who want to leave are nasty, evil hateful people - fascists.

Remain MkII and slurring leavers via Farage is up and running folks.

The zeitgeist of this particular period of political history is our satisfaction, or not of the EU.

Farage both in fighting for politicians to recognise the large-scale and overwhelming anti-EU mood of the UK and now, more recently in expressing his horror (and ours) at the games being played in Westminster and in Parliament has captured that mood. Democracy is in danger, but Remainers overlook that and only seem intent on winning.

The attempt by MPs to tie us to a body (one fast crumbling if we notice what is happening in so many member states) that the majority of people voted against is despicable and political commentators everywhere have recognised it.

That we stand up to protest and have a party formed as a protest vehicle is not fascist - but let certain Remainers carry on using that vile line of argument.

With regard to the funding winging its way into the one man Brexit Party. The one man needs to declare exactly where this money is coming from otherwise all sorts of rumours are bound to spread. Like the whispered rumour if money laundering.

I sometimes wonder if people on here actually know what fascism or Nazism is. I don't see the advocation of any type of persecution, Concentration Camps, proposals to murder people with learning or physical difficulties, the setting up of youth training camps, or any other niceties that the Nazis were so keen on. I just see a man speaking a lot of common sense, as angry as a lot of us for being taken for right old ride by duplicious politicians of all colours. Promising people something again and again that you have no intention of doing from day 1 is completely disgraceful,so Nigel gets my vote or I don't vote at all as no other party is worth the paper its lies are written on!

Well as the BP has no policies apart from Brexit it’s hard to judge anyone who stands under their banner isn’t it? As a lifelong Tory I think it’s clear however where he stands on many issues.

That’s because at this stage they hardly need a manifesto,
People will vote for them on the Brexit ‘tag’ in the MEP elections, and that alone.
I think the MEP’s chosen, from whichever parties probably will never get their feet under an EU table, as some sort of withdrawal agreement will no doubt be voted for in Parliament before too long.....simply because they have to.

Fascism didn't start with concentration camps. The general population often didn't know of their existence or, if they heard of them, didn't believe it could be true.

It started with wounded national pride. It started with manipulation of longing for times past when they felt their country was "great" to heal that wound.

It started with the breakdown of the economy so that many people felt betrayed and needed someone or something to blame that betrayal on.

It started because they felt they were being asked to pay too much to other countries and with the manipulation of that feeling into antagonism towards those countries.

It started with those who had wealth worrying that it would be taken from them as the poor grew angry at being the ones who were paying for the economic problems. So the wealthy funded the growing fascist movement and provided them with all the modern propaganda methods they needed.

It started with an attack on a minority who could be blamed for all the ills that simple poor economics and the previous bad governance had actually caused.

It started with the name calling of those who didn't agree. The growth in the idea that they were not the right sort of patriot.

It started with popular support and only ended with oppression. The people who were carried along by the idea of it didn't anticipate what it would do to them and their country. Do you think they would have followed their own pied piper if they had?

18th 1919) led to Germany being totally humiliated, bankrupted, and generally ground down, not helped by the wallstreet crash of 1929! Not sure that this country has quite reached that level of despair,despite our treacherous politicians. Nigel for me in the EU elections after that? Probably won't bother to vote in the next UK one, after all, whose manifesto could anyone possibly believe?!!

And you don't think the financial crisis of 2008 has had vast and deep repercussions on the country?

And you don't hear people saying that we pay the EU too much money? Or that this has been manipulated by a message on a bus, etc.

And you don't think the very wealthy are sinking their money into the parties they think will not only allow them, not only keep their money but increase it.

And you don't hear the way the wealthy describe Corbyn in particular as if he was some modern-day Rasputin. You don't hear the way they attempt to persuade those who are not so wealthy that he is wickedness incarnate least they vote for a party that might take the wealth back and redistribute it?

And you don't think that these parties are being provided with the very best, modern day, propaganda tools by the wealthy.

And you don't think that a particular ethnic group have been held up as the reason for all the ills in this country. Ills that have been caused by poor economic reasoning resulting in "austerity" for 10 years.

And you haven't heard those who call themselves "Brexiteers" threatening politicians who thwart them and people who disagree being told they are not the right sort of 'patriot'.

And you cannot connect this with what has happened in the past.

Not everyone who followed the fascist was akin to Tommy Robinson. They were mum's and dad's, grannies and grandpas, but there are enough around in this day and age to make most people with an open mind both wonder and fear what comes next.
