Baby's on the way.....

notentirelyallhere Wed 08-May-19 11:12:47

Warning, this may offend some....it's from a site called Newsthump that takes a comic and cynical view of world events. It's a spoof, intended to be light hearted. My personal take on this happy event is that I feel sorry for any poor s*d who loses his mother aged 12, in the glare of the whole world who then proceed to by and large trash her memory. Good luck to the lad.

"Prince Harry’s son has been named after his biological grandfather.

James Windsor was born this afternoon in a private affair, away from the paparazzi and saving all of us in the news the televisual feast of staring at a hospital door for four hours straight.

”Yeah, they’ve gone with James, just for shits and giggles,” said palace spokesperson, Simon Williams.

”It’s the worst kept secret. We know you know, he knows you know, and he knows you know he knows.

“Anyway, good luck working this concept into a full article beyond the funny headline. I imagine you’ll struggle.”

A spokesperson for James Hewitt said, “No idea what you’re on about, mate.

”Charles is Prince Harry’s dad. Always has been, always will be. There’s been plenty of ginger chaps in the line of succession, and the fact Harry is the absolute clone of James Hewitt is pure coincidence.

”What? Oh no, I don’t think I’m struggling to keep a straight face. I was thinking of something else. cough

Now I may be a rampant republican but I don’t find tgstvthe slightest bit amusing - you could have at least done a link and not a cut and paste. Shame on you not

Anniebach Wed 08-May-19 11:22:27

Picture perfect on the hospital steps ? I didn’t see any

notentirelyallhere Wed 08-May-19 11:22:51

blush ok, still laughing though. People never follow links. Was it the idea that Harry may not after all be the son of his philandering 'real' father the problem?

maryeliza54 Wed 08-May-19 11:35:07

ab well they were hard to miss.

Anniebach Wed 08-May-19 11:42:43

They certaintly were not picture perfect

Gonegirl Wed 08-May-19 11:44:29

notentirely it was just corny. Gonna have to try harder than that to make me laugh.

maryeliza54 Wed 08-May-19 11:45:40

Oh purleeze - you know very well it’s the basic principle and certainly Kate’s hairdresser and stylist went to prepare her for the photos.

Anniebach Wed 08-May-19 11:51:20

Stylist ? To chose a dress? not for a Buckingham Palace state dinner but a walk from hospital doors to a car?

notentirelyallhere Wed 08-May-19 11:52:03

If it's Kate, well I thought she epitomised how the Royals are changing. Despite apparent massive amounts of coaching, she spoke in a slightly nervous way, embroidering and repeating herself with the clear instruction to say 'something' but to make sure it was inane. I really liked the way William looked fondly at her telling her to shut up and then he put his arm gently on the small of her back and began to guide her off screen. Poor old Royals, who'd be them.

maryeliza54 Wed 08-May-19 11:59:01

I don’t care ab I really don’t.

Mycatisahacker Wed 08-May-19 11:59:06

MaryEliza

Says she with a radical feminist huff!

grin

maryeliza54 Wed 08-May-19 12:00:36

No just irritation

Gonegirl Wed 08-May-19 12:08:05

When did William tell Kate to shut up? shock

Mycatisahacker Wed 08-May-19 12:08:10

gringrin

Mycatisahacker Wed 08-May-19 12:08:53

Yes I didn’t hear him tell her to shut up did he actually?

Gonegirl Wed 08-May-19 12:14:54

I think notentirely was putting her own interpretation on body language. grin

Wednesday's child is full of woe
Saturday's child works hard for a living
For goodness sake! Relax and give us a break! Seems like more than a few posters saw light of day on a Wednesday and not many noticed or cared! Never mind: 12 minutes to go and all will be revealed! wink

MawBroonsback Wed 08-May-19 12:47:01

Pic just released. Sweet little bundle and Harry looks as if he is setting out to be a very hands-on Dad. tcrsmile

grannygranby Wed 08-May-19 12:49:52

the whole notion of 'gossips' is misogynistic. Latest anthropological research shows that such talk amongst people honed civilisation, called out hypocrisy, sharpened public morals and was especially sensitive to bullshit. People who think that Les Dawson's mockery of old women over garden fence is laudable are laughable. It just shows how much misogyny women have absorbed and defend.
Bullshit is bullshit and should always be called out. To proselytise for uber natural birth and then go off to clinic for induction (babys don't have a timetable) is bullshit. Nothing wrong with having assisted birth in any way just be honest.

EllanVannin Wed 08-May-19 13:03:23

A " hairy face ?" What on earth was that photographer thinking to say that the baby had hair on it's face ? Idiot !!

Anniebach Wed 08-May-19 13:07:04

Didn’t Harry say the baby had hair on his face ?

JenniferEccles Wed 08-May-19 13:14:57

I have just seen the brief interview with Meghan and Harry showing a little glimpse of a very sweet looking baby.

The interviewer asked them who the baby looks like, and they said they had discussed that and weren't sure, and that he has changed even over just two days.

In view of that question being deemed acceptable for the tv interviewer to ask, can we please stop all these silly accusations of 'racism' directed at anyone on here who expresses interest in who he will resemble?

It is NOT racist to wonder if he will have his mother or father's colouring.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 08-May-19 13:20:28

I have just watched the baby reveal Prince Harry said "he has already got some facial hair".

I think they both looked extremely happy, as expected.

How anyone can see /invent anything negative out of this short photo call I really cannot imagine.

Anniebach Wed 08-May-19 13:24:07

A Fox News tv presenter referred to the queen as QE2, he seems to be confused with people and ships
