Grandad1943 usually writes clearly and well, I made that point in my message. This is why I was so suprised to read this post, with its strange language. I wondered whether someone had snuck in and used his computer in his name.
It was completely out of character for him and made his message muddled and incomprehensible. I am sure that was not his intention.

Next Tory Leader.
(1001 Posts)Names are coming along at a regular basis, and with May having a meeting with Brady today, it is likely that she will be persuaded to give a date of her departure.
So let’s start looking at who would make the most suitable Tory leader.
The first out of the hat is Boris Johnson.
His first hurdle is facing court to defend the charge of lying before the referendum.

Saying and doing are not the same thing Granngravy. You seem to disrespect my right to criticise what I view as an undemocratic vote. When I, or anyone else does so, because they are not agreeing with you, you sink to insulting those views. It appears that to you bad manners are someone saying something you do not agree with. It's both petty and insulting but, even worse, it feels un-British.
It really wasn't M0nica. It was "comprehended" by others. I do think an apology wouldn't go amiss.
Please would all accept my apologies for the mistakes in my post yesterday evening (03/06/19). I do use a text to speech app on my phone to make my possts here, and I did rush that particular one as I was being called away just as I was dictating it.
When you have a very thick West Country accent such as I possess, you have to check that the app has not interpreted some words you say differently to what you actually wanted to state.
Still, Google speech recognition paired with Grammarly is an excellent combination for mobile use (normally).
Again apologies to all. ?
GGMK3 I have always on all threads on GN posted that I respect others points of view.
I am sorry that you have not realised/read that/them.
GrannyGravy the poster you replied to so disagreed with my views she dismissed me as ‘a little old woman’ , respecting others points of view ? ?
That isn't the point GrannyGravy. However many times you have "said" you respect others points of view, it is your actions that matter. On this occasion, when it came to people not consenting to the vote when they believe it does not have democratic legitimacy, you most certainly did not show any respect for that point of view.
You started by calling them "sad losers". You inferred they were not "gentlemen or gentleladies" if they did not accept the vote, you also inferred a lack of grace while you attributed such grace to your own actions. You put your own view of what constitutes "good manners" above the democratically held views of others. None of this could be seen as respecting the other point of view.
I have to say I really wonder if you know what the word "respect" actually means after that barrage of discourteous, rude, impolite, uncivil, unmannerly, ungracious, and inconsiderate disrespect.
GGMK3 My remark about "sad losers" was not polite I admit, and in hind sight I should not have posted it.
As for the rest of your post directed towards me, again I respect your opinions, I only hope you can give my opinion that I think you are wrong the same curtesy.
Annie I have never vehemently declared that I respect all other points of view. There are patently views I would fight to the death to defeat - as people in this country have done in the past.
For instance, in your case, I do not respect your attack on an individual, using gossip and possible libel. Nor am I about to show you any respect for that. What GrannyGravy was challenging was my democratic right to expect a vote to be legitimate before I consent to its outcome.
You attack Corbyn the person in a very repugnant way. I was disagreeing with the outcome of a vote. There is a difference although I do doubt you can see it.
If you try to credit a perceived virtue to yourself as GrannyGravy has done, you really should a) understand what you are saying and b) live up to it in your actions.
I might well if you care to explain why you think I am in the wrong GrannyGravy
GGMk I think just give it a rest! The lady doth protest too much perhaps?
You remind me of another poster.... hmm.
?
My post 01-06-19 22.28, since this post you have repeatedly "nit-picked" at me.
I stand 100% behind that post.
The last paragraph of your pen-ultimate post, I have no clue where or how you have formed that idea of me?
Urmstongran I have had "that" thought.
Oops your post 09.17.15 not your penultimate post GGMK3.
"James Cleverly has pulled out of the race to be Britain's next prime minister, saying it is "highly unlikely" he would have won."
or should that be- "James, cleverly, has pulled out of the race to be Britain's next prime minister, saying it is "highly unlikely" he would have won." ?

GracesGran I am always aware of what I say. I do not insult other posters as do you.
I give my views on Corbyn which are repugnant to you, your defence of the man is repugnant to me, I do not make
personal attacks on you, you did make a personal attack when you said my views were of ‘ a little old lady’ ,
James Cleverly has withdrawn because he couldn’t get support from fellow MP’s
I do not defend the man. I know little about him. What I do is check out whether your gossip is the truth, fiction or embellishment. If you were doing the same thing, constantly and boringly to a person in another party I would expect you to be called out for it in just the same way. You have made it personal, constant and, I feel, the equivalent to a vexatious complaint in law.
Woops. Last post in answer to Annie
ABB anyone but Boris
Kit Malthouse has just withdrawn from the race. Not altogether sure why, so far, he mad Mr Cleverley announced they were running only to pull out days later. Tactical or desperate for recognition?
They put themselves forward to raise their profiles. It is all about personal ambition and they will now support whoever they think will win in the hope of promotion.
Philip Hammond warns Conservative leadership hopefuls against ‘reckless, populist’ economics

I feel that this current Tory Party leadership election demonstrates the absolute turmoil that resides in that party at the present time. These would be Prime Ministers who one day place themselves up for election for the above position, and then the next day withdraw, brings to mind an old dance with the lyrics that went:-
"You put your right foot in, your right foot out, you do the hokey cokey and you turn about."
What this nation requires in this time of crisis, is not this rediculas Tory Party charade, but a General Election that would have at least reasonable prospects of resolving this Conservative Party created Brexit debacle at its conclusion.
Grannygravy, you have every right to post as you see fit, please do not be put off by GracesGranMK3s opinion of how you should or should not word your opinions.
In fact the comments posted by GGMK3 are arrogant, & totally unnecessary. Absolutely no excuse for such rudeness.
