I reckon Raab has totally scuppered his chances if god forbid the Tory membership value our democracy. Anyone who is willing to close down debate and parliament in order to win an argument must be unfit to be leader.

We live in a parliamentary democracy. You can try to lock the gates of parliament. But to do so for this purpose would be unlawful. This plan is unlawful, undemocratic, and unachievable. And the idea itself is profoundly offensive to our liberty constitution and traditions.

Angst only in that [along with Ledsom's [sp] CV lies etc it's now acceptable to lie about everything [in fact, it's almost obligatory]. And don't tell me that people have always lied. This lot have taken it to a whole new level. Especially when you've got friends in high places...just because the High Court have thrown it out, it still doesn't stop it being a lie [or am I missing something here...?]

If the claimant wanted to go after anyone for lyng in public office during an election, he would have been better off going after Corbyn for his announcement, four days before the last general election, that he was going to scrap student debt and make all tuition free.

Everyone with any common sense knew that it couldn't be funded, except the couple of million students who all of a sudden (oh Jeremy Corbyn ! ??). decided to start voting for the freebees that labour were going to give them.

After the election JC admitted that he had no intention of actually doing it.

As yet the judgment has not been published. I feel politicians should be held to greater account for the accuracy of what the say so wish this man well. What he has received for doing the work he has done seems to be very little and all the spending from the money raised has been published on his website.
