Remainers keep asking for a Confirmatory vote well in my opinion this is it. All voters have one Vote use it today to vote Leave or Remain at your polling station.

Official results on Sunday night but feel free to do a GN vote here as well if so inclined.

drum it is always a much more moderated level and intelligent discussion than we get on here. Has been since 2016. They are the future of course - thank goodness!!

Voted Lib Dem by post 10 days ago.

So Grandad- did you vote for Leave?

Callistemon Thu 23-May-19 14:54:25

GGMK3
no, the OP is not being stupid - rather this is an opportunity for the country to express their opinions again.

grandadyes, it could be that the message will be 'what is the point of all this?'.

Voted for The Brexit Party this morning, there is no other choice for us worth mentioning.
Asked AC yesterday what they intended, one will vote Brexit Party, one Labour and the other refuses to vote for any of them.
Went about 9 a.m and polling station not very busy.

Drum1234 Thu 23-May-19 15:18:46

The Brexit Party doesn't have a manifesto, so those if you who have voted for them could be opening an even bigger can of worms.

Drum1234 Thu 23-May-19 15:18:59

Of, not if.

On our way to vote. A few at the school gates today saying have put papers in bin ( both parents and grandps.).
Some Eu nationals, German and Polish, who despite being eligible and filling in correct forms, have had their names crossed off the list. Some UK nationals abroad have had their applications, delayed etc by local authorities . (Exactly what happened to my son in the Referendum). We need to get our administration of elections sorted out if we want to hold ourselves up as a model of democracy.

I was once a member of the Labour party, Momentum members put me off voting for them since. I am at a loss, I haven't voted yet. I am tempted to vote green for the environment, I am struggling though voting for the green party that views females as non men. confused

Gonegirl - there is a point in taking note of what happens in the EU. In or out of the EU we will all be affected.

Does anyone know when the WTO elections will be taking place [just in case we have a no deal Brexit...]?

eazybee Thu 23-May-19 15:49:14

Voided my vote; protest against this election which should never have been called.

GracesGranMK3 Thu 23-May-19 15:53:34

In a poll taken over the weekend callistemon 49% said the were voting to show their preference for Brexit/EU which means 51% were not. How can you draw any conclusions from thathmm

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 15:56:02

#deniedmyvote trending. 50k tweets so far

Very worrying.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 15:57:58

Surely you can’t be considered a democracy if people are denied a vote?

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 16:00:01

If you know of anyone being denied a vote please urg3 them to contact the electoral commission via the attached email

If you are denied a vote on the day it’s likely you didn’t apply in time.
Why do some get all worked up as if it’s a conspiracy.....and by who for heavens sake?

crystaltipps Thu 23-May-19 16:05:43

I expect Primark do a nice line in brownshirts for the after party. What flavour milkshakes will be served? Or will it be that lamb hog roast again?

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 16:06:23

Wrong lemon you still haven’t read the reports

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 16:08:54

The commission instruction is clear

All you have provided are some twitter comments trisher
When I am off GN I will look at reliable sources.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 16:12:53

Channel 4 wants to hear from anyone unable to vote.

Should this be something the BBC be doing?

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-May-19 16:15:48

The people that should be most annoyed about this vote denial are the leavers as they are the ones that have pratted on about lack of democracy etc. But seem strangely silent.

mcem Thu 23-May-19 16:19:30

I voted for the consistently anti-brexit party who returned the excellent MEP, Alyn Smith. I am confident he'll be returned again.
Would just point out that Great Britain is not an EU constituency. It's United Kingdom (at least for now).

Ps that very basic information was for the wildly enthusiastic but ill-informed firecracker!
