Remainers keep asking for a Confirmatory vote well in my opinion this is it. All voters have one Vote use it today to vote Leave or Remain at your polling station.

Official results on Sunday night but feel free to do a GN vote here as well if so inclined.

Yes Nonnie it’s my life’s work to drive you away!

Dear lord!

MawBroonsback Sun 26-May-19 13:05:53

Roll on the floor and giggle, dance naked around the garden at midnight with a vodka mule...anything to free oneself from the restrictive truss of whatever it is which limits you

Oh dear GabbyG, what might be a hoot, daring, or even liberated in a 40 year old, takes on a whole new grotesque and frankly ridiculous aspect when the person suggesting it is in their late 70’s.
Who, frankly, are you kidding?
Yourself?

MawBroonsback Sun 26-May-19 13:06:56

“Matron! She’s off again! “

Welshwife Sun 26-May-19 13:07:49

I voted for one of the French lists today - we had registered at the Mairie for both local and European elections - we cannot vote in the Presidential elections.
We are still registered in U.K. and wish to keep that right in case of a General Election or another referendum - the results of either could have ramifications for us as well as our families in U.K.
Our U.K. voting papers did arrive but as lots of strange things have been happening to papers from Europe when going back to U.K. we chose to exercise our right in the country we are living in.

mokryna Sun 26-May-19 13:13:17

Nonnie Thank you yes I am going down that path but I didn't want to

mokryna Sun 26-May-19 13:17:29

I believe in the Conservative manifesto several years ago and reaffirmed more recently said that British was for life therefore could vote but this right has not come to life.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 13:29:40

Seems there’s bullying to GG but I suppose that’s ok is it?

GabriellaG54 Sun 26-May-19 14:39:32

Whoever GabbyG in her late 70s is, better answer the poster before she goes on the warpath....again.

GabriellaG54 Sun 26-May-19 14:54:35

Mycatisahacker
That particular post was to Nonnie, suggesting fun ways to free up her inner spirit and be less pedantic. ☺
Me? I don't drink and don't fancy dancing on gravel (no lawn) ouch! ???

Nonnie Sun 26-May-19 17:07:50

Calandargirl thank you, that is the response I expected from reasonable people. I think we have now all seen the GNs who think they are cleverer/better than the rest of/superior education etc who have now shown how immature and bitchy they are. We all now know how much notice to take of the opinions of such unpleasant people. I rest my case.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 17:18:59

I have a box of grips free to anyone who needs one.

GracesGranMK3 Sun 26-May-19 17:23:44

Sometimes I wish we all had to use our real names instead of nicknames. I do worry when what people have told us about themselves and the things the say in posts. Sometimes it just doesn't add up.

Nonnie Sun 26-May-19 17:42:42

Perhaps some of you would like to transfer to the noise neighbour thread and tell her she is imagining it. You've bitched enough on this thread.

lemongrove Sun 26-May-19 17:49:04

Nonnie You said you were ‘resting your case’......you clearly aren’t doing.
You have now used the word bitch and bitching about a dozen times on various threads.
Time to move on.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 18:25:22

Yep strange that those constantly shouting bitch and bitching actually just don’t like other people challenging them.

Funny that

GabriellaG54 Sun 26-May-19 19:05:04

Well, my moniker is my real name so I'm in the clear. ??
I often wonder just who is running this show.
Demanding answers
Name calling
Bullying
Accusatory comments
It beggars belief.

GabriellaG54 Sun 26-May-19 19:21:48

Why worry about what people have written?
Why make accusations?
Does it really make a difference to your life?
It's like any other social networking site plus the fact that most of us haven't and don't want to meet other GN users in RL.
There are some on here who keep tabs on other posters and might even keep notes or even files on every bit of info you give so they can cross check it with previous posts.
Why?
Ha! You might well ask.
I've no idea but my best guesses are: 1) It matters very much to them.
2) They have little else to occupy their time.
3) They derive great satisfaction from pointing out discrepancies.
4) They are very very sad people.

I personally don't give a hoot as to where anyone lives on any day of the week nor if one day they are married, 5-2 and 7st and the next they are single, bi and an obese 6 footer.
I'm exchanging thoughts and opinions not compiling a database.
Those who have stuff they want to keep private for any reason whatsoever, should be respected and not harassed.

petra Sun 26-May-19 19:56:12

Nonnie
Your reference to the noise neighbourhood thread
That is an entirely different scenario. Those noisy neighbours have the potential to ruin the quality of life for the OP where as you had a 10? second exchange with a stranger and feel the need to report him. Yes, he was an 'polling officer' official but don't you think your going a teeny weeny over the top.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 20:37:37

Good for you Gabriella! Well said

I assume it’s far easier to go over the top on the Internet because in real life friends and family would tell you to get a grip

maryeliza54 Sun 26-May-19 21:00:26

The kindergarten is alive and well this evening isn’t it - time some of you put the gin bottle away and went to bed

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 21:47:48

Waiting for the milkshake links from you?

Oh so that’s s no then just insults as you can’t produce

GabriellaG54 Sun 26-May-19 21:49:15

I very much doubt that you'll have enough grips to go round.
Pound shop on Tuesday...you get the grips, I'll get the sal volatile. grin

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Sun 26-May-19 21:56:26

Just a reminder to try to keep on topic rather than veering off into personal stuff going back and fro and derailing the thread. As we've said before, totally fine to disagree (it's not like the B word is renowned for peaceful accord on or off the forums) but it needs to be done without resorting to personal attacks or turning an interesting discussion into an argument that contributes nothing to the conversation.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 22:12:17

cari

I agree but it’s not nice to be called a bully

Urmstongran Sun 26-May-19 22:12:33

Well the EU election ballot boxes are now open and counting has begun..... be interesting seeing the results in the morning!
