No Bridgeit what SOME of us would have liked is a PM who knew the job was beyond her capabilities and involved ALL the other parties from the startBut like so many who believe their own PR she thought it was HER way or no way .Sadly it wasn't herself she was letting down it was everyone on both sides of the Brexit divide .
Meanwhile people in England ..or my English family to be precise were not amused by the lack of government in all other areas ..NHS ..worse by a country mile in the UK ,Education,Knife crime etc etc etc .By getting REAL advice from other parties a lot of her angst could have been avoided.Ego and PM shouldn't be partners .Seems that might be clear to Mrs May now .

Gonegirl, I would like to say thank you for trying to encourage us to cut TM some slack & acknowledge her efforts etc.
It seems many of the electorate prefer loudmouth braggarts who they believe will get us a wonderful deal by shouting the odds & making demands or else ! Dream on .

T May made various mistakes, but not Grenfell.

Yes my posts do at times refer to things which happened way before anyone who is now in government, we can’t erase the past, we learn from the past, I accept the past of some MP’s being mention annoys/ angers some .

And Mrs May is not responsible for the Grenfell Tower fire,
rubbish to say she was .

All cladding is more of a fire risk than not having any cladding at all.
However tests done after the fire suggest that the particular cladding ( used all over the country) wasn’t good enough and this fact wasn’t picked up by anybody, including the fire service.
The way that the fire raged, going up the outside of the building was a freak event.
Fire service advice to residents was to stay in their flats in event there was a fire.
There was only one staircase ( as in many blocks of flats in the UK, when two would have saved more lives.
The truth is, that there were many mistakes made, but laying the blame at the door of T May is frankly ridiculous.

OK this should put a stop to this blaming Just two months before the Grenfell fire London Fire Brigade warned all 33 councils in the capital about the risks of cladding on tower blocks
So not the Fire Brigade's fault.
Why should anyone flatter TM? Because she's a woman? Because she's a Tory? Because she has finally resigned? She should have gone a long time ago.

Well exactly Lemongrove it’s quite extraordinary that TM should be blamed for an electrical fault that caused this tragedy when the fire service accept no blame for not seeing this cladding was flammable.

That needs investigating in itself in case back handers from developers were involved.

Plus it takes away from some of the doubtful advice given by them on the night, like stay in your flats.
There were regular fire safety checks done on Grenfell Tower by the Fire Service btw.
It had zero to do with T May, but it’s a wonder some don’t blame the weather on her as well.Get real!

And pointing out that it is a bit much to criticise a post which concerns an event the subject of the thread could be held directly responsible for. (Incidently I didn't start the posts about Grenfell but blaming the fire brigade for the cladding is a bit like blaming the engine driver because the train was badly designed)

I didn't say that you called her these names Buffybee, I was just quoting what she has been called by anyone and every one. However, lets face it your comments weren't particularly flattering!!
I thought she looked a lot better this morning, as if the weight of the world had lifted from her shoulders. I think she's had a lot of bad luck, along with everything else, but she's certainly been lucky with her hubby, at least that relationship is "strong and stable", that much is clear!

No trisher fully aware of that but I thought the reply of the fire brigades Union was rather ‘nothing to do with us it’s all the fault of this Tory administration. I think a bit of shouldering responsibility would have been more fair.

I accept the cuts have been savage but some responsibility must fall their way if they knew the cladding was flammable
