Good Morning Sunday 10th May 2026
The epitome of cocky I was frankly disgusted by his behaviour outside Leeds Crown Court.
He is an obnoxious individual who seems to think he is above the law.
Beneath contempt more like.

Members of the public provided £50,000 for a crooked solicitor who was damaging the McCann's reputation so it seems that the bigger the rogue you are the better you're admired by some members of the British public.

That's interesting EV! What a lot of experiences you've had!
I know it is the right of us all to have free speech and to give our views - within the Law, i.e. not being hateful towards any group etc. However, I still get annoyed about the massive expenditure on Policing for Public Safety which is needed whenever there is a Tommy Robinson or any of his Ilk giving their warped views and spouting their rude and ignorant language which is designed to incite hostility and hatred towards others in our country.
Obviously the Police are needed! I do not for a moment deny that! I think it must be horrible to be in the Police at those things too. It's just the huge expense it causes, all because the T Robinsons and Co. are filled with such venom all the time they make people behave so badly that they need Police control.
Man's an imbecile. I truly think something is very wrong in his brain.
If he doesn't like the Laws of the UK, he should go somewhere else - he says it often enough
EllanVannin. I am interested in your comment purely academically absolutely no challenge or personal view, I promise. Is it ok to ask you to elucidate a bit? Sorry, I think my brain is getting old... Was the Solic deliberately chosen because s/he was crooked? Who was trying to damage the McCanns' reputation? Did it work? (I get the impression many/majority of Brits support them and are still very upset by the terrible situation.)
I was asked to look at and research how people understood the information. Nothing emotive and nothing detective-work-ish! It was a good example of how reporting, emotions, and what happened were understood by people from the media cover which was so huge. So I can't stop my interest. I do feel desperately sorry for them because they are so famous now it must be hard to have a family life and go out together.
Johno Still waiting - genuinely interesting in knowing why they started. It might make me understand the huge anger they express.
"interesting" should be interested sorry
Tillybelle it's pointless to try to understand hate.

Tommy Robinson puts me in mind of the thugs who murdered Stephen Lawrence. I wonder why?
Gonegirl. Yep! It's certainly very difficult! Complicated. But people usually rationalise what they do. That's why I'm interested in Johno actually telling us the answer as to why the ....(I've forgotten their initials! - Tommy Robinson's lot) got started" or words tte. I just want him to tell us!
Mind you, I asked him something about what he wrote once before and he didn't answer. I was polite. I think he wants to sound clever and mysterious. Oh dear!
Ironically a large police presence is there to stop those who protest and use violence against TR than the man himself.
Tillybelle, the solicitor in question was given a suspended sentence, though it hasn't stopped his hatred from spilling over as a co-writer of a book aimed at a prisoner who's been incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit.
Maggiemaybe. And Many More...
A bit behind with my post here but as you are delighted he was found guilty I wondered if you saw this report of the results of his bid in the European Elections?
from The Guardian Mon 27 May
"On a European election night when the Brexit party dominated across the UK, perhaps the most eye-catching story in North West England was the humiliating drubbing suffered by the anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson.
Having claimed for weeks to be on the crest of an international movement – one that elected Donald Trump in the US – the man whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon had expected to “walk into Brussels like Connor McGregor” upon his election.
In the end, Robinson won only 2.2% of the vote – losing his £5,000 deposit – and sneaked out of the election count in central Manchester barely an hour after he had arrived. He tried to put a brave face on it, claiming the establishment had “arranged and organised” for him to be banned from social media to scupper his election bid, but it was a resounding defeat for the founder of the English Defence League."

Crikey!
and
Crikey!
i guess you can't say who the prisoner is in your comment:
"aimed at a prisoner who's been incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit."
It sounds horrendous! I vaguely remember a Solicitor found guilty of writing a book in which he accused the McCanns of causing the death of their daughter. How wicked can people be? Unless there is absolutely incontrovertible evidence that such a thing happened I cannot begin to understand how anyone can start to say that about parents who have literally lost a child.
Tillybelle, the solicitor in question was spreading the word that the McCann's had been responsible for the death of Madeleine and even had fliers printed to put around their home town of Leicestershire.
The money raised was for a forthcoming court case against the McCanns by Amaral, the PJ who was leading the case in Portugal who was accused of defamation.
A chunk of the money had been given by some of the Met police ! Generally it was money handed over by those online who hated the McCanns.
Shows how thoroughly disgusting some people are who would rather fund crooks than honest citizens.

.
I agree completely with cheneslieges132 and Johno.
By silencing and jailing him the government has perpetrated a horrific injustice. Whatever you think of his ideas, or his tactics, all freedom-loving individuals must condemn perversion of power and allow freedom of speech.
It is important to know all the facts .......'judge not' (saying)
"To reason without data is delusion"
Blimey, there are a few people posting on here today who need to take a good look at themselves. Or have a nice lie down.
Tommy R is not a 'Great man' Johno nor does he 'tell it like it is' BusterTank - he is self-admitted fascist, complete racist and all-round git who thinks he is above the law. Unless of course you think those attitudes are OK, in which case I don't know what you are doing here. You should be over on another group - EDL or Britain Firs, possibly with the sort of people who support such vile views.
NannyC2 - he was in contempt of court and publicised details of a trial that almost jeopardised the conviction for crimes that were despicable. It was nothing to do with freedom of speech and all to do with due process. Tommy Robinson knew exactly what he was doing but thought he'd get away with it.
I seriously cannot for the life of me, believe this site has supporters of that vile man.
It is beyond comprehension.
What do people (TR apologists) not understand about being in contempt of court?
TR's activities jeopardized the outcome of an ongoing trial. What's not to understand?
FGS!
This has everything to do with freedom of speech Paperbackwriter for which he's been castigated for. Blimey there wasn't as much hoo-ha when Hamza did his preaching in Hyde Park.
Terrible man but some people seem to love him. I just don't understand how they can't see what he is. A veey dangerous far right person who likes nothing better than stiring up hated. He reminds me of Oswald Moseley. Making out to be a man of the people but promoting hated and intolerance
Not only are there apologists for TR on here ( please go away, we don't want your sort), but there are many people pushing his propaganda in USA, reporting him as some sort of hero against the system. It does of course, suit the followers of a particular President who cannot get to grips with London having a Muslim Mayor. TR is not a folk hero, he is a vile, racist who almost scuppered a trial and thus could have let some paedophiles and abusers free, those brave children and women who had testified in the trial would have been put in danger. If you think this is a good thing, then I really do not think that this site is the place for you.
