Is this the face of fascism?

Farage said that anyone in UK civil service or military who doesn’t believe in Brexit should be removed. My jaw dropped. This is outrageous. It is fascistic to apply a single issue to determine “loyalty” as if we were in a war of religion. Shame on him.
Urm I find your posts re the tweets of Trump really sad. They seem to express such uncritical admiration of him and in order to do that, such unfair criticism of the women involved.
A man known to have "heightened insecurities" is at the head of a very large, powerful nation and has his twitchy finger on the red button which would send us all (ALL!!!) to Kingdom Come via a lingering agonising death?
Urmstongran are you quite sure you are not stringing us along with a load of - - falsehoods - - about your devotion to him and your certainty that he is a Good Thing for the US, and hence for the rest of the world?
Good God, Ug. You think that someone with 'heightened insecurities' is a good person to have as POTUS ?

Elegran or he could, of course, be in Scotland up against Sturgeon and turning it all into one big golf course.
On second thoughts, Scotland is much too small for him.
He's the son of immigrants who has married immigrants (two at least) so can no self-awareness whatsoever.
Apparently one of those Congresswoman used the phrase "Let's impeach that Mother******" - so Trump returning the vitriol is no surprise.
You use such language after getting elected and against a man known for his heightened insecurities and that's what you'll get in response
Good, quite possibly after Mütte opened Germany’s borders so extensively. That wasn’t a popular decision there.
DT puts America first. Their economy is booming. I wish Mrs May had half his leadership.
Why should anyone think that someone whose parents left Somalia for the US - presumably to get away from the corrupt regime - has exactly the same kind ot principles or lack of them as a country in which they were not even born? If she is in Congress then she can be assumed to be working for what she believes is best for the US.
Has Trump considered that if EVERYONE in the States whose parents were from somewhere else were to return there, the country would be an empty wilderness, inhabited only by the remnants of descendants of the original native inhabitants.
He would be in Germany, up for election against Frau Merkel. What do you reckon his chances would be?
mk2 sorry.
And whatever those perceive as his failings - yet likely to secure a second term (ooh horrors!) - Why do so many people want to get into the USA then?
Yes, a basket case.
“Somalia ranks among the world’s most corrupt countries. Insecurity is also a major issue; the ongoing instability greatly restricts business.
Corrupt government officials tolerate illegal activities in return for bribes. Dysfunctional institutions facilitate an environment of lawlessness, and the absence of any form of regulatory framework hinders prospects of economic competitiveness.
Business is based on patronage networks, and tight monopolies dominate the market. Somalia’s Provisional Constitution criminalizes several forms of corruption (including abuse of office, embezzlement and bribery); however, implementation is non-existent.
The governing elite is continuously involved in allegations of embezzlement of public funds from the already meager Somalian coffers. Finally, bribery is commonplace in all sectors, and procurement contracts frequently involve corruption.

Surely even GN liberalists couldn’t defend this country’s ethics?
motherhood? That is an American thing?
Urmstongran how do you feel about the fact that Trump hasn't actually delivered on any of his election promises?
That’s probably because I like Trump WWmk3 and you don’t.
No one can accuse Donald J Trump of being unpatriotic.
He's as American as motherhood and apple pie. Trump was elected on a set of promises that go against liberal norms such as building a border wall and deporting illegal aliens.
The liberal left don't like it but the way to win the next election is by winning the argument. Kicking Donald J Trump only makes him stronger and more popular.
a basket case?
ug I thought your posts were always reasonably benign, although of a different opinion to my own.
I no longer think that.
Actually, one of the “Progressive” women he’s referring to is an American citizen who was born in Somalia.
A basket case of a country no wonder so many are leaving if they can via wicked people traffickers.
Yes, the are in their own country. But what Trump was saying was stop lecturing this country on how things should be done and look to the African continent your own parents are from that is full of corruption, before you start on us.
Politicians who hate America have no place in U.S. government!
When you think about it, children of immigrants are often less enamoured of the countries their parents chose for a better life. Perhaps the second generation there look to their parent’s (or grandparents) countries with rose coloured glasses! A bit like those from here whose families came to live in Bradford or Luton (as examples) for a better life and their grandchildren go off to Syria to join ISIL.
You can’t fix ideologically charged mindsets!
I would say trumps comment was unbelievable ... except it isn't, is it.
Lemongrove have you looked it up yet as promised? It will be a first so I, for one, can't wait.
Yes, it is almost beyond belief. One of the women was born just 12 miles away from where Trump was born. Apparently he has German ancestry (grandfather born in Germany) and his mother comes from Lewis in Scotland., so immigrant stock. Oh but yes, WW, thanks for pointing that out, they are not orange.
Trump has told some of the women in congress to go back to their own country. These women were born in the USA. They are American citizens. They have been educated, married and have families. They represent their constituents in Congress.
So there you have it ignorance, racism and misogyny from the friend of Farage, Tice, Oakshott Bannon And Banks amongst others. This is what these people truly believe, but are not yet letting you know as they think (rightfully) it is something we would not tolerate. (Well those whose sanity is holding up)
Oh! I forgot to mention another thing about the women, they have a different colour skin to Trump. Wouldn’t be difficult as not many people have an orange skin.
I see that the UK has been told by the USA to fall into line over China and Huawei or forget a trade deal.
Don’t you just love this taking back control business?
I thought my eight year old grandson had a vivid imagination! We get 'I think this'; 'I believe that', all based on no facts and the rest of us are supposed to trot behind changing our lives. Not in my name this country doesn't. You want me to risk all our futures on fairy-tales. I'll keep fighting against the unfounded rubbish we are told.
I notice Gina Miller's legal team have already let Johnson know they will take him to court if he try to prorogue parliament in order to force through a no deal. Thank heavens for the people who believe in this country and the decisions we have made over the last forty odd years.
Do buck up?
What isn’t correct btw?
Well, perhaps we shall see in some years time!
At the moment the EU is dismayed by the thought of the lack of our money coming into their coffers and how Brexit will work out for them, so is otherwise engaged.
