The Liam Allen case was of a very different order. The two cannot be compared.

Liam Allen suffered at the hands of duff prosecutors----unforgiveable.

The first thing that should happen is that Bernard Hogan Howe should be stripped of his knighthood for services to the police. As the one in charge of the whole of the Met Police his head should be the first to roll. I've had indirect dealings with this individual and he's definitely not one to be admired.

And of course in addition to what you’ve said POGS it’s the damage such behaviour does to genuine victims of abuse who might be more scared of coming forward or be treated less seriously.
