I know we knew this would happen but it didn't stop my heart sinking when it was confirmed. It's not even about party politics. It's about him. The country is in such a terrible position and the thought of him being the one trying to solve all the problems is farcical at best and utterly depressing.

"There would be 3 options.
1) Remain
2) Leave with or without a deal
3) Do not leave without a deal.
People who want Brexit would be split.

But they already are split, on Deal or No Deal. If those who promoted Brexit had thought alittle about how to achieve it, they should have worked out the best way to make their dream reality, and laid some groundwork, before jumping in head-first, with their plans at half-cock (or ba' heidit, as they say in Scotland- meaning either bald-headed or maybe balls-headed, take your pick).

Elegran grin (re previous post)

(Can I just say to GNHQ. There was no need for any deletions on here. hmm) (Regarding Tillybelle and me)

Why do you have to be so prissy?!

Hattiehelga Thu 25-Jul-19 13:23:18

Gonegirl - Well Done. End of !!

trisher Thu 25-Jul-19 13:30:17

Gonegirl GNHQ are like a lot of people doing certain jobs they have to prove they serve some purpose sometimes. We've all been terribly well behaved lately. Never mind as in A Hitchhiker's Guide they will be in Ship B along with the telephone sanitisers www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogcQ7Z4bh5w

he has been shouting aggressively, red faced, gesturing - all afternoon- and not answered a SINGLE question- just shouting insults and accusations instead, to hide the fact he has NO answers.

He KNOWS that there is NO answer to the backstop and the Irish border, none- and he knows it will NEVER be acceptable to the EU- for excellent and very valid reasons- and neither will it be for the USA, despite what Trump says.

jura2 Thu 25-Jul-19 14:02:10

He looked demonic and un-hinged- even Jacob looked totally embarrassed. Mad Max

SirChenJin I wasn't being serious! Sorry if you thought I was. I was being....erm...dry...#didn'twork

To clarify: I can't even bear to watch the news now. I despise the man and all he stands for, his lack of integrity, his narcissism, dishonesty and the rest. May the Lord, if lord there be, have mercy on all our souls and may his entrails boil in hell.

There. I said it.

Rowantree Thu 25-Jul-19 15:14:11

BJ's entrails, not the Lord's!

lemongrove Thu 25-Jul-19 15:25:29

I tend to reserve that sort of outrage for murderous despots, serial killers, child molesters etc Rowan but each to their own.

Rowantree Thu 25-Jul-19 15:31:49

lemongrove well, IMO he's up there; I'd say being willing to f**** up the country for his own glorification could be deemed a crime. He's a loose cannon and should never be left in charge of a Furby, let alone our precariously-balanced nation. He's a racist too. So yes - boil away.

lemongrove Thu 25-Jul-19 15:39:38

I don’t like him Rowan but would not call him a racist.
If he were, he wouldn’t have promoted four of his new Cabinet members.
He hasn’t f****d up the country yet either, that would be Parliament as an entity who has done that.
If he can’t get Brexit done, then he has failed, but we are only two days into his PM ship at the mo.

Wonderful threads,I agree with most, Boris wont last long, hopefully, he cant organise himself, let alone a country in chaos. What a world we live in, his Siamese twin across the pond, other political maniacs doing what they do,what does the future hold?

lemongrove Thu 25-Jul-19 16:18:14

Can’t be any worse than the 20th century Nanny41 !

quizqueen
No one on here ever seems to blame the EU for the negotiations going badly.

The UK entered these negotiations without a plan. Just as our own government had not done their homework to ensure the referendum was conducted against a solid fact based background. Davis resigned, Dominic Raab resigned. We were weak. Should we blame the EU for that?

The Irish backstop is just a made up problem as the UK is already aligned to all the EU rules and regulations anyway.

Tell that to the Irish. I congratulate you if you, during the referendum, considered the Irish border issue and had given it careful consideration.

Sour grapes by the Remoaners on here how sad.

jura2 Thu 25-Jul-19 16:41:47

No sour grapes- but facing the reality of No Deal.

Firecracker- could you please answer the question Javid could not answer 2 years ago, and Johnson certainly could not today- and give us a detailed plan for a solution to the Irish Border, please.

As if there is none, there will be No Deal, not with the EU, not with the USA, and not any kind of WTO solution either. That is not 'sour grapes' - but yes, it is very sad. A lot more than that.

MaizieD Thu 25-Jul-19 16:46:04

Goodness me, Lessismore, who said that? Are you quoting from a deleted post, by any chance?

No, not sour grapes,*Firecracker*. Just horror that such an appalling man should have become our Prime Minister.

Firecracker123 Thu 25-Jul-19 16:46:35

Jura I'll just get my pad and pen out lol if I was that clever I'd be in Boris's cabinet, I'm sure between the fantastic team he has put together a solution will be found.
Better brains than you and I are on it.

Firecracker123 Thu 25-Jul-19 16:48:41

MaizieD I was responding to Rowantree dummies were mentioned. Don't try to pin that racist post on me.

Lessismore Thu 25-Jul-19 16:49:06

Quote is from BJ.

Firecracker123 Thu 25-Jul-19 16:51:30

Only appalling to Remainers frightened that he and his fantastic cabinet of Brexiters might actually get us out of the EU deal or no deal.
