Please, anybody tell me. I just don't get it at all.

disclaimer.....I am not a Marxist.

He's vile. How anybody can like him is beyond me. Send Doris [shockto my part. East Lancashire . He wouldn't think he was in the U.K. He's a total embarrassing shambles. Don't any1 call the ' Youth ' of today when only 3 weeks ago the police were called to a domestic at our PMs GF flat...what a role model hmm

Ginny42 Tue 23-Jul-19 21:06:16

I can't bear to look at the man. I cannot believe that in spite of all that's been exposed about his lies, misogynistic attitudes and racism, he is the PM of this country, thanks to the Tory members who decided he was the man to reside at the most prestigious address in the nation. I truly hope he's not there for long.

The only fun note of today was when my GS, who doesn't live in the UK and is not a native speaker of English, said he thought Tories were people who just come to the UK for a short holiday.

Many ex-politicians become 'tv personalities'.

Isn't Stanley a Remainer?
Interesting.

varian Tue 23-Jul-19 20:59:14

I quite agree hooty

HootyMcOwlface Tue 23-Jul-19 20:49:34

Varian - I don’t think any of that is a good thing.

Lessismore Tue 23-Jul-19 20:48:03

I think the TV personality Stanley, is pulling a lot of strings.

Boris has been praised by his friend Trump, as a fellow celebrity. He told his supporters that Boris was a great guy and they're calling him the British Trump -they really like me over there and they all cheered hystericallly

Labaik Tue 23-Jul-19 20:20:20

Can't recall there ever being a PM of this country that has their father speak for them on many occasions! I fear that the electorate of this country are starting to get politics mixed up with I'm a Celebrity...

Thank you maisie a succinct summary of the truth.

MaizieD Tue 23-Jul-19 20:01:33

Those of you who are not cheered by the elevation of Johnson might like this analysis by Ian Dunt:

For all her faults Theresa May had more integrity in her little finger than this blustering charlatan. He’s promised all things to all people, which he can’t possibly deliver, and I think even he may come to regret having devoted himself unstintingly to his self aggrandisement. It will all end in tears - and we will suffer for it.

Grammaretto Tue 23-Jul-19 17:51:45

Sara65 ditto

sodapop Tue 23-Jul-19 17:47:48

Yes we got that impression as well Bridgeit. Let's just hope Boris reins in his antics and uses the intelligence he undoubtedly has. I'm not holding out much hope though.

Sara65 Tue 23-Jul-19 17:42:17

To be honest

Sara65 Tue 23-Jul-19 17:41:37

Bluebelle

I agree, there have been plenty of other party leaders on both sides who have left me cold over the years, but I have long dreaded this day, go be honest, I can hardly believe it, but after Trump. I suppose anything is possible!

Lessismore Tue 23-Jul-19 17:39:25

We all seem to find dislike/hatred/vitriol quite easy.....really .....Where?

I can't seem to find anything factual about his ability in languages other than English. He speaks fluent French, so do a lot of people.

Bridgeit Tue 23-Jul-19 17:37:07

I heard his Father speaking about him this morning, from what I heard him say it is he, Boris Senior who directs what Boris Junior says!

Glammy57 Tue 23-Jul-19 17:33:51

His paternal great-grandfather was Turkish! ?

Callistemon Tue 23-Jul-19 17:29:46

is as wriggly as a snake but I prefer snakes shock
How many snakes have you encountered Bluebelle?
Having come across a few snakes, even I would prefer to be confronted by Boris!

BlueBelle Tue 23-Jul-19 17:21:19

Nasty piece of work who can’t keep his mouth shut bumbles and blusters like a village idiot lies through his back teeth never answers a question, is as wriggly as a snake but I prefer snakes Will put his foot in it left right and centre and will makes us even more of a laughing stock than we already are, other than that .....he’s got what he always wanted I reckon he slid out the womb planning this

EllanVannin Tue 23-Jul-19 17:16:13

I've said it before----he won't reign long.

Ellianne Tue 23-Jul-19 17:13:40

He speaks quite a few European languages which might give some of the conceited idiots over there a shake up.

varian Tue 23-Jul-19 17:07:49

He is a habitual liar so if he did keep any of his promises that would be a first.

JenniferEccles Tue 23-Jul-19 16:51:10

All we can do is hope he keeps his promises! I have my doubts but he had twice as many votes as Hunt so Tory members must have been confident he is the right man for the job.
