Chinese buying up all the baby milk !

Wow ! I've only just caught up with this thread and I am gobsmacked at how combative it is. Blimey gillybob if I were you I'd think twice before I put on what was a very generalised type of comment about something happening. It does seem to be the way that GN is progressing lately - either a comment is torn to shreds or it's attack, attack, attack !
For you gilly

It's nothing to do with cars. rubs hands gleefully

In SE Essex I know Sainsbury's, Boots, Waitrose all limit the sale of baby formula to 3 tins per person, I think other retailers have similar policies.

Shaming mothers for not breast feeding is extremely low in my book......I was able to breast feed some of my children but not all of them.

The Kia is Korean btw. (I am Mrs Kia too )

Forget baby milk! Keep on guessing.

You bugger, Gonegirl. Tell me!

Kiaora????

Nope!

Killed in action?

Kick in arse?

Bribe might do it.

Bloody 'ell. I hope it's not killed in action!

Kick in arse?

I thought you were threatening me.

Bribe you with contraband (whispers, an unopened tin of SMA hungry baby).

Kid in attic

I'm not saying it. Ask gilly.

Thank you Nico97 and GrannyGravy too .

Oh and for the record my DD lives at least a 90 minute round trip from “Benton, Asda” That’s even assuming all public transport was seamless ( and free of course).

And and ( can you even say and, and ?). There is a difference between the cows milk used in baby formula and the ordinary cows milk we buy . Something to do with the treatment and protein . I’m no expert . But it’s really not so simple as just swapping for a baby with allergies. What do some people care anyway?

Oh Yes the Kia is Korean Gonegirl my DH drives one , big bloomin old ugly thing it is with about a million miles on the clock, but he can get a machine or 7 people in it so for him it’s ideal .

Big ugly old thing, is it, is it Gonegirl?

I've got it too gg and I agree with gilly.

This thread is just plain sad.

Some people try to take offence when a general truth has been posted.

The car not you Gaga I’ve never met you have I ? Or have I ?

Haha, probably not. I'm in town no more than a couple of times a month. Otherwise I'm usually out and about in Northumberland or the coast.

I totally agree that this thread isn`t racist in any way, but neither was my post the other week.

The reason they are buying it up is because formula milk made in Asia, has found to have in one case talc powder added. You can't trust anything out in S E Asia that is made in China. For example any tablets like travel sickness tablets, if you offer them to a local the first question they ask where is it made. They won't take anything made in China.

There was great scandal with the ilk formula and in Thailand the same was happening in the shops. They have a Boots a Waitrose equivalent in Thailand.

Callgirl
Most of us knew it wasn't ?

It’s just too easy to cry racist if anyone dare mention another country , race, religion or ethnicity.
