Wicklowwinnie if the referendum produces the same result as before, but is based on facts, debated, proved, and not on lies and propaganda then I, as a remainer, would reluctantly accept it as a democratic vote. My main argument, like many, is that the electorate were told lies, fantasies, propaganda, fearful projections, by both sides, and properly informed opinion was not always used as the basis for our votes. An election is not going to solve this problem. Welcome by the way, if you are new!

It might be better? Hope so

With deselection of a number of candidates from Tory & Labour parties, there may be a number of independents? I can’t imagine what our Parliament will be like tbh

Good point Wicklow

If we had another referendum the choice would have to be do you want to remain, leave with TMs deal or leave with no deal

AdeleJay Tue 03-Sept-19 11:26:33

Yes, in a very safe Tory seat where the current incumbent has voted remain, then was loyal to Theresa May & now to Boris Johnson, although he voted no to ‘No deal’.

I have no idea how to vote either confused

What happens if a second referendum produces the same result as before?

Whitewavemark2 Tue 03-Sept-19 11:18:19

It has to be a referendum. An election won’t as juel says answer.

I think 'hanging is the right word for the whole lot of them ???

I think a second referendum would put the whole situation to bed. An election will just continue the pain.

Who do people vote for?

Remainers will be split between the LibDems and Labour, so neither party will win.

Leavers will be split between the Tories and the Brexit Party, so ditto.

It may be a well and truly Hung Parliament.

Very interesting times indeed.
