I am livid to see this and well done to Caroline Lucus for calling him out on it.

I wonder how his fans here regard this behaviour?

Imagine a female, possibly even an overweight one ( !) behaving in such a manner or a left winger or Diane Abbott or just about anybody really!! It is quite unbelievable.

Not when its his party expecting plebs like us to work till their late seventies...and suggesting that some people who work three jobs and still cant pay their rent, are lazy. Rees Mogg is 50 and regularly sleeps at work....shameful.

Just shows what sort of government we have got . To busy squabbling amongst themselves they haven't got time to sort the country out . It's no wonder this country is on it's knees .

To be honest I couldn’t care less about JRM lounging in an almost empty HOC. It didn’t look good I admit but for me the disgrace is the total, utter shambles that Brexit has become. Regardless of leave or remain voters the result was out and there are many that will struggle to the death to stop that happening. David Cameron has a lot to answer for. We need to leave and be done or this will drag on forever more. There are so many important issues being sidelined by this and the costs involved must be horrendous. The MPs blocking Brexit should be ashamed.

HurdyGurdy Thu 05-Sept-19 10:50:23

What would a female's weight be a relevant factor.

I'm no fan of JRM - or any politician for that matter - but are they required to sit ramrod straight whilst in the House.

At least he bothered to turn up to listen to her, which judging by the number of empty seats around, put him in a minority

Kacee Thu 05-Sept-19 10:47:32

I quite like JRM smile

BettyBoop49 Thu 05-Sept-19 10:46:59

Sneering self entitlement ! Totally disgraceful. This is 2019 for goodness sake - does JRM honestly think we are still serfs who know our place and wave flags and cheer anyone ‘above us’?
I don’t think the electorate will forget this. He and his cronies should read the history of the French Revolution!

Barnet Thu 05-Sept-19 10:42:53

He was facing away from the speakers and there was hardly anyone there, so it wasn’t noisy.
I almost expected him to put his feet in Dorries’ lap as she was sitting right by them.
He’s a disrespectful arrogant SOB like most ex public schoolboys.

maddyone Thu 05-Sept-19 10:39:16

Avalon, quite!

Democracy will not allow BJ to be ‘sacked’ moggie, simply because you don’t like him. There are protocols to be followed in Parliament.

Mollygo Thu 05-Sept-19 10:35:47

Avalon-you’re so right with the ‘bunch of kids’ comment.
I teach some Y6 children who lounge around like JRM just to get attention. Was nobody noticing him? How sad!

25Avalon Thu 05-Sept-19 10:30:47

It just so happens that JRM is a very good constituency MP which is why I for one voted for him. He has, however, done himself no favours by slouching across the front benches for whatever reason even if he just fell asleep or was trying to listen to the speakers.
I was also disgusted by May, Clarke et al all smirking away and for Bercow's bias when he is supposed to be neutral.
What with them and Corbyn our parliament is just a joke. They are all like a bunch of kids. It's pathetic.

EllieB52 Thu 05-Sept-19 10:28:06

He’s a snake!

Lilyflower Thu 05-Sept-19 10:21:51

It has been a week for confected offence taking!

moggie57 Thu 05-Sept-19 10:17:24

total waste os space. sack him..
boris.

Gonegirl Thu 05-Sept-19 09:28:57

And well done the man who called out "sit up man" to him. And respect to Caroline Lucas.

Gonegirl Thu 05-Sept-19 09:26:33

He is an idiotic tw-t. And there is no i in the word I just used.

Can't stand the wretched man.

maddyone Thu 05-Sept-19 09:24:35

Oh dear, that’s not very becoming is it? Perhaps he forgot there were cameras there. Whatever, it’s disgusting.

Luckygirl Thu 05-Sept-19 09:13:06

At least IDS was engaged in a purposeful activity with (I sincerely hope) a productive outcome.

As for JRM, he might as well have stuck two fingers up at parliament - what a truly ghastly human being he really is.

MawB Thu 05-Sept-19 09:07:33

I fear I saw it Whitewave and rather wish I hadn’t.
Some things, once seen, cannot be unseen.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 05-Sept-19 08:11:58

It is on twitter, I would post it except I don’t know how to copy and post a video.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 05-Sept-19 08:11:07

IDS was captured sitting on the green benches in the HoC doing something that you only see children do.

It relates to noses and mouths???

sunseeker Thu 05-Sept-19 08:00:33

Barmeyoldbat In the referendum those in JRM's constituency voted 52.1% Leave and 47.9% Remain.

Best for Britain (a stop Brexit group) claim that has now changed to 51.1% Remain and 48.9% Leave

maddyone Thu 05-Sept-19 08:00:30

Barmyoldbat:

‘Are you fed up with your MP?’

gringringringrin

Barmeyoldbat Thu 05-Sept-19 07:15:48

Growstuff you could be right about JRM, he is an MP in an area where 53% or 58%, can't remember which, voted Remain. Also while passing through a village in his area I saw a large poster for a meeting.....the heading, Are You Fed Up with Your MP.

starbird Thu 05-Sept-19 03:02:24

I think they get a good lunch in the House. I find it hard to stay awake when I have eaten well.

maddyone Thu 05-Sept-19 01:10:14

What’s Ian Duncan Smith done?

Love the pictures Maw.
