Not fit for public office, never mind PM. NOT the way to behave in front of international press. Of course, NOT reported in the UK.

I’m aware of that Granny but given that only about 7% of the population send their DC to private schools and that Labour voters tend to be lower income earners I’m not sure that the two tally to equal “most lefties”!

Lessismore Tue 10-Sept-19 19:08:25

People from " all walks of life" do not send their children to fee paying schools.

Some are scrabbling about trying to decide between heating and food.

sharon103 Tue 10-Sept-19 19:13:17

This reminds me of the 'Carry on Cleo' film, Kenneth Williams uttered the words as Julius Caesar" Infamy, Infamy, they've all got it in for me"
Boris can't do right for doing wrong.

SirChenjin Tue 10-Sept-19 19:14:35

He could try?

MamaCaz Tue 10-Sept-19 19:17:58

Boris doesn't show any signs of even knowing right from wrong. That is probably the crux of the matter.

GagaJo Tue 10-Sept-19 19:19:45

LOL SirChenjin. Trouble is, I don't think he's capable. I think Dominic does all the work.

SirChenjin Tue 10-Sept-19 19:27:23

Perhaps it was Dominic working Boris’s flailing arms from the back at the press call?

varian Tue 10-Sept-19 19:29:34

Johnsond had another electioneering photo opportunity with primary school children today.

That tells us a lot about his priorities.

If he was actually serious about negotiating a better deal than TM's deal so as to avoid a no deal brexit he would be working full time on that.

He is obviously not prioritising that as Amber Rudd has just told us. Liar Johnson is living up to his reputatation as an utter charlaton and fake, who has, as so many of his former friends have said, "only a passing aquaintance with the truth".

Framilode Tue 10-Sept-19 19:34:12

There was an interesting thread on Mumsnet recently about people who had worked with Boris when he was mayor. The consensus was that unless you were from his class or he wanted to shag you he wouldn't give you the time of day

sharon103 Tue 10-Sept-19 19:36:19

Would I be right in saying that everyone that is picking at Boris are remoaners?

varian Tue 10-Sept-19 19:40:57

I assume from your use of the derogatory insulting term "Remoaner" that you must be a leaver sharon

Are you happy with the performance of Boris Johnson ad Prime Minister? Honestly?

SirChenjin Tue 10-Sept-19 19:46:41

Picking at Boris grin

If the man behaved more like a serious politician leading and uniting his country through one of the more turbulent and divisive periods in recent history and less like a petulant child, waving his arms about and demanding we ‘donne moi une break’ we might be less tempted to pick on him.

As for the “remoaner” comment - 0/10 for effort and originality.

SirChenjin Tue 10-Sept-19 19:47:37

Donnez

Grandad1943 Tue 10-Sept-19 20:29:12

Let's be honest, only most die-hard Tories are still trying to defend Johnson now.

However, anyone with half a sense of reality realises the scale of the personal disaster that Johnson has created for himself and concludes that our current Prime Minister is "as nutty as a fruitcake." ??

Dinahmo Tue 10-Sept-19 21:34:47

Gonegirl Had you studied Latin at school the first things you would have learned were how to decline the verb "to love" (amo) and how to decline the noun "table" (mensa). both of which were extremely useful!

absthame Tue 10-Sept-19 21:50:54

I think that the description of Nutter is a fair description of the the BJ who, until his lack of zip control led him to move, lived locally wondering about looking unkempt, bewildered and lost, generally mumbling to himself and frequently playing with his head much like Ollie.

In this Nutter we have placed all of our futures. Dear Lord please save us from this amoral Nutter.

Gonegirl Tue 10-Sept-19 22:35:43

Dinahmo as I have never studied any Latin, and know nothing at all about it, could you please help explain what you mean?

Labaik Tue 10-Sept-19 22:54:34

Please someone tell me it's fake news that he's thinking of building a bridge between Ireland and Scotland....

Doodledog Tue 10-Sept-19 23:18:09

I heard that, too (Ch4 News). Apparently 'it might be an answer to the backstop'. I feel as though I've fallen through the Looking Glass.

growstuff Wed 11-Sept-19 04:09:04

To be pedantic Dinahmo one conjugates verbs and declines nouns wink

It's really useful to know how to say girls love tables!

Fennel Wed 11-Sept-19 08:42:29

Now I come to think of it 'mensa' is a strange word for table - I thought 'mens' means 'mind' (brain).

SirChenjin Wed 11-Sept-19 08:49:45

It would appear that this bridge story is true grin www.scotsman.com/news/politics/boris-johnson-s-government-considering-scotland-to-northern-ireland-bridge-1-5001804

As everyone knows, the roads up through the Mull of Kintyre are absolutely suited to HGVs and can cope perfectly with the increased traffic and so on. I very much look forward to reading the Scottish Government's response to this one.

The man is utterly bonkers - mad as a box of frogs.

Gonegirl Wed 11-Sept-19 09:06:38

Ok! Anyone else want to show off their fantastic knowledge of latin?!

Gonegirl Wed 11-Sept-19 09:08:47

The bridge isn't crazy at all. The main obstacle to it is unexploded WW2 bombs still lying on the sea bed.

It's merely a thought for the future. No one is suggesting it could be done by 17th October. hmm

almcg2001 Wed 11-Sept-19 09:09:14

I certainly made me chuckle SirChenjin.
