Not fit for public office, never mind PM. NOT the way to behave in front of international press. Of course, NOT reported in the UK.

Not really Granny - Lessismore specifically said NF, it was you who translated NF to Leavers. Are all Leave voters Farage supporters? I can’t recall any posts from the Remainers likening NF to remain.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 11-Sept-19 17:52:40

SirChenjin as you seem to be the expert, you tell me!!

SirChenjin Wed 11-Sept-19 17:54:07

No - you first, since you actually thought it and then wrote it smile

FFS! Don't state the bleedin' obvious. She knows it wasn't sincere. hmm

Gonegirl Wed 11-Sept-19 18:03:00

Sorry. blush

sharon103 - My vote will be going to Nigel Farage. A man, in my opinion, with a back bone and not afraid to say what he thinks.

He's very good a talking - his private school and city trader/broker background has served him well. However he made sure that his own children still have all the EU benefits including an EU passport through dual nationality.

Just like the rest of the keen Brexiteers who won't put their own money where their political mouth is.
- Rees Mogg moving business interests to Ireland to retain the benefits of the EU markets.
- Arron Banks - a leading Brexiteer buying an EU passport for 650,000 euros via Malta.

But no deal and loss of EU rights is good enough for everyone else - right? hmm

SirChenjin Wed 11-Sept-19 18:11:13

Thank you for pointing that out Gonegirl but I think Lessismore both got that, hence the grin

grin

I have had an interesting afternoon in the company of three aquaintances who are Conservative voters and Telegraph readers.

We met for a purpose which is non political and as always, I refrained from making any comments about the current state of UK politics. These are all good people who I generally get along with and although I know very well that we generally disagree (I am a LibDem and an ardent Remainer.) I never bother to raise the subject of brexit.

I was amazed that my three aquaintances spotaneously raised the subject of brexit and were unanimous in their condemnation of Boris Johnson.

They all agreed that his pathetic performance on the few occasions he has appeared so far in the HoC had only served to enhance the reputation of Jeremy Corbyn, who appeared, for the first time, quite statesmanlike by comparison with this bumbling fool.

I would not be surprised if these three lifelong Tory voters were to vote LibDem at the next election.

Is there some kind of rule that Boris Johnson has to fail really badly at least once a day.

Labaik Fri 13-Sept-19 16:12:07

Did anyone just see Sky News where Johnson denied ever saying 'spaffing against a wall' and they immediately showed footage of him saying it and said to the viewers 'we'll leave you to make your own minds up' grin...

Labaik Fri 13-Sept-19 16:12:52

...could we change the title of this thread to 'Boris the liar...'?

Lessismore Fri 13-Sept-19 16:14:27

Are his pants on fire?

Labaik Fri 13-Sept-19 16:20:23

Judging by the look on his face something might have been happening down below....grin...

Boris Johnson has said he "won't be deterred by anybody" from leaving the EU on 31 October.

The prime minister said he was "cautiously optimistic" of getting a Brexit deal, but the UK would leave by the deadline "whatever happens".

EU chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said he did not have "reasons to be optimistic" over getting a deal.

Mr Johnson will meet him and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Monday for talks.

During the PM's speech, at the Convention of the North in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, he was heckled by an audience member who told him to "get back to Parliament" and "sort out the mess that you have created".

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49690613

As the chances of him getting a deal seems to be "vanishingly small", it sounds like he is promising to break the law.

Boris the nutter's always had a sense of entitlement but it is high time he learned that nobody is above the law.
