The queuing is probanly a result of the security measures rather than an indication of popularity.
Haven't seen the speech, been out, but if someone could post the main point,s apart from the I'm a Celebrity business and the expected Brexit means Brexit, I would like to read them.

Possibly some wanted more ‘fighting talk’ but at this stage of the negotiations I thought the tone was just right.

They were queuing round the block from very early this morning to get seats to see him btw.
So that’s hardly ‘weirdly indifferent’ .....there was a lot of laughter and applause generally, far more than for poor old T May.
I don’t care for Johnson, and never did, but prefer to see some truth on here from left wingers (instead of them saying that everything is awful.)

His speech lasted 40 minutes. He had some jokes (stale to some, new to me).

He made me laugh when he poked fun at Jeremy Corbyn not going for a general election. Said the public had less say than voting off someone in ‘I’m a Celebrity get me Out of Here’. Hilarious when he said ‘I suppose at least we’d get the opportunity of watching the Speaker of the House eat a kangaroo’s testicle’.

His dad was on the front row laughing uproariously!

And it’s over. Must be one of the shortest Conference speeches in years but still managed to last an eternity. He said absolutely nothing and conference hall seemed weirdly indifferent. Will be completely forgotten by tomorrow when EU is busily dismissing his shit Brexit plan ~JL

Blimey Johnson’s speech was flat and stale. Nothing like you’d expect from a U.K. prime minister, more like an after dinner speech.

If someone chooses a name that implies a certain level of acheivement is it 'belittling' to point out that actually they are exhibiting none of the characteristics such an acheivement would require? Isn't it just pointing out an obvious discrepancy?
