He is betraying his roots
We couldn't have been poorer growing up. Dad was a factory worker and in a Union. I was involved with the Unions all my working life.
However, I can not vote Labour. The Labour Party of today has different ideals, is run by hard-left Momentum, is anti-Semitic, anti-establishment, and the leader supports terrorist organisations, wants to abolish monarchy and does not support our armed services. It will squeeze the taxpayer dry and ensure the wealthy move away, taking their money and businesses with them. Investment will be lost.
We found out recently that Labour immigration policy will be open door, no borders, no caps and in favour of free movement. Most countries in the world have strict immigration policies and want to know who is entering and what they will contribute to the place in which they want to live. Makes sense.
I have worked hard, as did my old Dad, but he and many other staunch Labour voters would NOT be denying their working class roots if they had nothing to do with the Labour Party of today.
We grow and move on, and see things differently. The Labour Party has evolved (could you get more of a contrast than Blair and Corbyn?) and it's not to everyone's liking, no matter what their background.
The Conservative Party serves the working classes and people who want to get on much better these days.
