Why are "Leavers" so angry?

What were all the EU regulations that Leavers were so keen to abolish, then?

One I would like to see abolished ( although I doubt it will be ) is the raising of the pension age and especially the raising of the pension age for women which was a direct result of the equalising of pension ages across the EU.
I bet a lot of WASPI women would like to see that too - taking their pension age back to 65 instead of 66 for many.

The fact is that there was never any comment made by any document I read that said any EU rules would be abolished in that way.

Thomas Cook's customers have all been repatriated and will be compensated by ATOL - they will NOT be after Brexit.

You see , thats what really makes me angry - how some people want to diminish others with their comments. An opinion is an opinion. It may or may not be backed by some facts or correspondence to reality but it is still an opinion and as such worth as much as any other opinion.

The fear mongering is to ensure they retain the status quo. Fat cats getting fatter from the workers.

But, rightly or wrongly, Remainers fear that Brexit offers them (the 'fat cats' ) an opportunity to call for removal of workers' rights that are guaranteed by EU legislation.

Oh great Just listening to C4 News and apparently parliaments spending watchdog has said the Department for Health and Social Care lacks the full information about levels of drug stockpiling. The National Audit Office warned that the government simply doesn't know how many Nursing Homes and other social care providers have followed its advice on robust, no-deal Brexit contingency planning.

The NAO also said that extra freight capacity chartered by the government for priority goods might not be in place for up to a month after Brexit.

I know the Brexit Bullies in parliament are beginning to show their true colours but putting old people in Nursing and Care Homes at risk is, I suppose, straight from the Tory handbook.

In my opinion it is the 'remainers' who are angry and abusive.

Indeed- people who voted Leave did so on the very limited, and often flawed information, and, fact, lies- so I could not ever blame them for doing so.

You see this is the classic remainer argument and in it lies the real problem. Such a mind has no concept of what a leaver may actually have voted for. They never ask and ieven if they did, they never took any notice, so they continue with the mindset that Leavers voting must have been flawed. They cannot countenance that they might be so flawed.

I have not named the poster who wrote this but I have had dealings with this person three years ago. I made it clear then that their thinking was narrow and did not actually address anything I voted for but still they continue with this comment .... three years later and they do not move on.

But I am afraid I cannot understand why people now refuse to face the reality of consequences.

The reality of what consequences exactly? We have not left the EU. The consequences you see at the moment are a result of remaining - at least politically they are.
Economically we cannot say anything because we have not been freed from the restrictive cartel.

In my experience of over three years now I have discovered that generally remainers have small intellect and are very frightened people who want to be held and looked after for everything no matter what the cost to their personal dignity or to their pocket ( although actually they would rather take from the pocket of others - usually hard working tax payers like me) as they do not seem to have much to contribute.

That is just my opinion. If you find it insulting, remember , you insulted me for three years, dont expect me to be reasonable anymore.

Just because the document it ‘true’, doesn't make its content truthful. It was stated to be worse case scenario, however its construction as an official document was woeful.

I give up. Joelsnan I think you're incredibly deluded and there's no point discussing anything with you. Paula Sherriff and Barry Sherman weren't disgraceful. They spoke passionately about issues which matters to them. Johnson's response was beneath contempt. I feel the same about anybody who supports Johnson.

I just Googled ‘Paula Sherriff’ and this from Wikipedia was top of the list:

No, they would not kill the golden goose. Why is this line being slipped in at this stage of the affair? It would have been ‘outed’ far earlier if it was the case. Just like remain pounced on Aaron Banks, the bloodhounds from Leave would have uncovered it.

Of course Yellowhammer is a true document. Nobody has actually denied it. The government even sent a copy to the Scottish government.

What it is not is the full government document. It's probably somebody's minutes of a meeting. Westminster changed a few words and redacted some details, but it was genuine enough.

I really am astounded that anybody thinks it was some kind of fake.

When a BXP parliamentary candidate directs their followers to hound me on Twitter for being rude to her (because apparently asking where she got her law degree was rude) and they unquestioningly do so without even reading the preceding tweets to confirm her allegation then I will perceive those particular people as "non fact-checking, easily influenced, 'super British', [with] overwhelmingly victorious minds". It has been my unfortunate experience to be exposed to their unfounded insults and vitriolic language.

I started my comment by identifying SOME Leave voters are belligerent which also implies that this doesn't apply to all Leave voters.

But there are some who choose to take every criticism personally.

Racists DID vote to Leave but I don't assume every Leave voter is racist or was motivated by FoM, but immediately upon observing that Racists voted Out, some Leave voters will rail against that and cries of "I'm not racist" are heard, often followed by "I'm fed up of Remoaners accusing me of racism".

I was not being condescending Day6, that would only be true if my comments included every Leaver, I was giving an opinion on why SOME Leavers are angry.

The question is - why were you personally offended?

Most of the small number of disaster capialists are folk you've never heard of.

They bet against sterling and take their funds abroad waiting to swoop like vultures and buy up the assets of the British businesses which rash if brexit is not stopped.

Sherrif especially reading from pre prepared text was obviously intent on humiliating BJ from the outset.

Actually, even the ancient Greeks ( the first democrats) acknowledged that those ticks in boxes ( or in their case balls in a jar) were the foundation of all democracy and needed to be honoured, even if they did not like it.

No Joelsnan. They are seeking to make a killing on shorting against the country. (Google if you don't understand what shorting is all about.) They are also hoping that less regulation will mean there is less scrutinising of their tax affairs and fewer regulations to stop them exploiting workers and health/safety regulations, etc.

It's been so bl**dy obvious since the start.
