Seems Trump has put a 25% tariff on Scotch Whisky ...tariffs on Italian cheese and French wines...now WHO was it said he'd give the UK great "deals" ? I wonder what he'll hit next ?

I didn't but a lot of people believe in Boris/trump special relationship ....Maybe he should have waited until AFTER Brexit ,this might open some peoples eyes to the the FACT we dont pay tariffs in the EU !

"The moves are part of a 15-year dispute at the World Trade Organization between the US and EU over subsidies given to plane-makers Airbus, from Europe, and the US's Boeing."

"The EU Commission has confirmed that it will be imposing a tariff on imports of Bourbon and American whiskey from July, in retaliation to president Donald Trump’s decision to impose a 25% tax on imports on steel."

back and forth ..

I can honestly say that I cannot drink scotch as I'm intolerant of it, it makes me really ill. However Vodka and Brandy I'm fine with. So, except for the impact on employment in Scotland, I'm not so concerned. However the UK drinkers should be happy as it means that there will be a surplus of supply and as we are Scotland's home market, prices will fall and well............ it may be party time gringrin
