we had Harry all over the "news" earlier now his wife has joined in with the whinging about how hard their life is!! Honestly ..they should have to live the lives of millions in this country and then they would know how HARD life can get .Why is it NEWS anyway? If its so hard they can always walk away .

I totally agree Oldwoman70.

She has had to make so many dramatic life changes and she maybe has post natal depression. I still have it!!! and my kids are older than Harry!!!! Show some empathy besides they are human and she is a woman with feelings.

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 12:58:42

And if Harry refuses therapy there is not a thing his family can do.

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 12:56:37

Pinkquartz I so agree with you. You post reminded me of my daughter who was 7 when her father died in a car crash whilst on duty in the police . She grieved then life went on for us, when she was about 12 she suddenly got angry with her father for leaving us, she poured out her anger to me which was a good thing, we could talk it through.

I agree , I don’t think Harry can accept the true cause of his mothers car crash because he would have to accept it was her choice to leave the Ritz that night for no logical reason, to go against the advice of her security, and she had refused security provided by this country for the royal family, her death could have been avoided .

well harry feels 2nd best .and he is looking for attention. but in the wrong way...and meghan this is not usa/canada. our culture is very different...maybe they need to see an adviser and not one provided by the royal family.not sure harry should have married meghan after one year romance .but maybe someone in the uk. not saying she not a nice person but she needs guidance on how to be a royal family member..

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 12:41:10

Meghan is not supporting Harry she is exploiting him...he is weak she is strong.

But she may have bitten off more than she can chew because he really does not seem to be well mentally.

Bottling things up is not healthy but I cannot believe that the RF cannot fund a really top therapist to help Harry.
Meghan is toxic. This will end badly for Harry if he keeps going along with her.

onlyruth Mon 21-Oct-19 12:38:35

Interesting that people are blaming Meghan for being too much in the public eye. When she went to ground after the baby was born, people were whinging about that.

Let's face it, she can't win.

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 12:38:18

sparklefizz I agree Harry is not well.

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 12:37:00

Harry tells himself that the "Press" killed his mum....but she made her death happen by not wearing seatbelt and having a very drunk driver against her bodyguards advice. I think he cannot face that her actions caused her own death.....because then he would have to feel angry with her.
So his mental health is not ok because he is deluding himself and he cannot find any peace.

When he says he is afraid it will happen to his wife then choosing a woman who has lived for public attention is a weird choice.
Meghan saying she doesn't know how to handle attention but won't take advice from the experts.....

her open eyed "look I am so innocent " look on the photos makes me feel very odd. I think she is very manipulative and canny.
She clearly has Harry by the whatsits

I normally ignore all RF news but have been hooked in by these two people......

Sparklefizz Mon 21-Oct-19 12:34:38

Most people, including myself, seem to be concerned that Harry is not very well.

Sparklefizz Mon 21-Oct-19 12:33:16

onlyruth* What has been said on this thread that is vindictive and nasty? I have only read people's opinions.

onlyruth Mon 21-Oct-19 12:24:57

Absolutely with you @oldwoman

I'm not remotely royalist, but the plain nastiness on this subject horrifies me. I cannot understand the mindset of people who are so vindictive.

Of course, if the couple's work wasn't filmed and put out there, people would say that they're not working hard enough(because obviously if we can't see it, it doesn't exist)

Alexa Mon 21-Oct-19 11:36:17

Harry seems to me to cope very well with grief.People are even allowed to unexpectedly burst into tears years and years after the bad event whatever it was. That is not poor mental health or 'not coping' it's the reaction of a healthy brain .

Sparklefizz Mon 21-Oct-19 11:19:03

It would be like the queen sitting down for her Christmas message and talking about how no one realises how tiring the job is at her age, and how much she misses Philip by her side, blah blah.

Lol grin Ellianne

Unfortunately I think Harry is not very well, and it seems that neither is very happy. I don't think they bring out the best in each other. Sigh.

Scentia Mon 21-Oct-19 11:18:52

Alexa
The poor mental health comes from his lack of ability to cope with that sadness and grief when it appears.

Gonegirl Mon 21-Oct-19 11:06:27

Maybe trotting it out so often in mid life is a sign of poor mental health?

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 11:06:02

Last week, Sophie Wessex was in Kosovo to attend a meeting
with survivors of sexual violence and then opened a meeting on Trauma Research regarding post traumatic stress in children and four more appointments the same day .

We never hear of the work this family carry out .

Alexa Mon 21-Oct-19 11:04:52

Harry's grief about the death of his mother is not 'poor mental health'. That he sometimes feels sad is not even poor emotional health it's good emotional health.

Calendargirl Mon 21-Oct-19 10:56:29

Harry’s mental health does not seem to have improved since his marriage. I know it’s not good to bottle things up, but one wonders if Meghan’s way of dealing with it has somehow made it worse. Her support appears to have ended up with him more or less wallowing in it, instead of helping him move on.

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 10:54:17

This all reminds me of when Madonna married Guy Ritchie.

A castle wedding and a country house to live in. She embraced all things British, wearing tweeds (looked ridiculous) and learning to shoot!

When the adulation died and it all became too boring she fled back to America.

Guy Ritchie bought himself a pub! grin

Learn to love our ways, Meghan. Maybe the best person to advise you right now is Bill Bryson?

Alexa Mon 21-Oct-19 10:47:22

Meghan appears as a snowflake, I cannot imagine the Queen being poor me.

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 10:47:05

How are ‘our lot stuffy’ ? They keep their private life private and carry out their public duties without telling the world their personal problems.

henetha Mon 21-Oct-19 10:45:10

I totally agree, Jaylucy

EllanVannin Mon 21-Oct-19 10:41:54

The European RF's seem to have a more free and easy way of life. They don't appear to be as stuffy as our lot. Princess Mary of Denmark was an Aussie at birth but had to renounce her citizenship after becoming married to Crown Prince Frederik.

Mary is adored in her native Australia and has proved to be a popular member of the Danish people and has fitted in well given her humble beginnings in Tasmania. Princess Mary has 4 children and is seen to visit Oz quite often.

jaylucy Mon 21-Oct-19 10:40:58

Quite frankly I am sick and tired of paddyann whingeing constantly about anything and everything about the Royal Family !
Most of what is written in newspapers is sensationalised and mainly untrue, just to sell papers or magazines. If it makes you upset, just don't read it!

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 10:40:52

Yes, William and Kate.

As was said about the queen and Margaret when their father became king - ‘thank God Elizabeth was born first ‘
