we had Harry all over the "news" earlier now his wife has joined in with the whinging about how hard their life is!! Honestly ..they should have to live the lives of millions in this country and then they would know how HARD life can get .Why is it NEWS anyway? If its so hard they can always walk away .

I watched the H and M documentary last night. Obviously slanted as the interviewer was a good friend from years back, who also spoke about his own mental health issues.
Things don’t seem to have panned out as they hoped, some of it due to themselves I’m sure.
I think Meghan has found her new royal life to be not quite what she expected. They obviously adore baby Archie, and becoming parents ASAP was always on the cards, partly due to her being well into her 30’s, and Harry just longing to be a dad, but having a bit of time and space after the wedding to adjust to her new life and role might have made things easier.
Would have enabled them to ease into it all gradually, not ‘hit the ground running’. I bet she regrets that statement.
Sadly, neither of them appeared very happy or settled with their life.

It is great to find that I agree 100% with Trisher (don't worry T I'm sure that we will still have different views.). If we have to have a Royal head of state, then I am all for Charles.

As for H & M I suspect M's lineage has more than anything else to do with the volume of the criticisms, bearing in mind the main sources of the stories.

The rifts, well that can easily be explained by two sisters-in-law who don't get on, not an usual situation in my experience.

Thanks Iam64 much as I dislike the RF and I would strip them of their power and wealth I really don't understand this obsession with setting them up then knocking them down and bitching about them. They're human they make mistakes, doesn't everyone? (Do you remember when it was Charles who couldn't do anything right?) Weird isn't it!

Iam64 Sun 20-Oct-19 22:19:58

We’ve been known to disagree trisher but, on this, as on other occasions, we share dislike of unkind, unpleasant and sometimes cruel comments about other human beings.

SirChenjin Sun 20-Oct-19 22:19:02

I’m not seeing a lack of respect on this thread trisher - there are simply frustrations and annoyance at their behaviour imo.

‘Harry confirms rift with William

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 22:14:49

trisher I will not feed your need .

trisher Sun 20-Oct-19 22:13:08

Perhaps it is but not on this thread SirChenjin
Annie if you don't understand why I mentioned racists who think they aren't it's because words of hatred mean hate even if you think they don't.

SirChenjin Sun 20-Oct-19 21:44:22

It’s perfectly possible to respect them as human beings whilst questioning their behaviour and poor judgment.

trisher Sun 20-Oct-19 21:33:02

I simply believe in fairness Annie I don't like the RF I'd get rid of the lot of them, but I don't seperate them out into little groups and say these people are fine but those are not. I afford them the care and respect I do to any other human being.

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 21:32:56

What on Earth has racist chants to do with this thread ?

Oh the race card ? Carry on

trisher Sun 20-Oct-19 21:30:38

I've no doubt Annie that those who scream and make monkey noises at footballers would claim they aren't racist, but we can only judge by their words as I do yours.

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 21:28:51

trisher you want rid of the royal family , yet post on a thread
about two members of the family to defend them ?

SirChenjin Sun 20-Oct-19 21:24:20

When taxpayers are paying for parts of their lifestyles then it’s only to be expected that the public form views on whether or not they are getting value for money from H&M

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 21:23:18

trisher this will be a big shock for you but we are not all alike , I can criticise without hate , no problem for me.

I feel sorry you can’t do the same

trisher Sun 20-Oct-19 21:20:24

notanan he may be doing a job or whatever, the expectations of how the job should or should not be done are yours and other posters.

notanan2 Sun 20-Oct-19 21:12:44

H seems to be doing it to address his demons but its clearly just making him worse

notanan2 Sun 20-Oct-19 21:11:38

I almost feel sorry for a couple of people who are simply not meeting the expectations that have been thrust upon them.

None of this have been "thrust upon them". H is never going to be king so being a working Royal is entirely optional! They CHOSE to do it and the novelty wore off staggeringly soon, but they have options, they can just walk away from it all.

As for expectations, they are only being judged by the standards they themselves declared!

trisher Sun 20-Oct-19 21:06:29

It's no secret that I don't like the RF and I'd get rid of the lot of them. But really the absolute bile and disgusting hatred on this thread astonishes me. I almost feel sorry for a couple of people who are simply not meeting the expectations that have been thrust upon them. And it's no good saying you don't hate someone when you say such negative things about them. I don't follow them, I don't care about them, I've no idea what they have said or done and all I can say is if you really are so offended by them, just stop reading the press stories or watching their programmes, nobody is making you do it.

petra Sun 20-Oct-19 21:05:18

I'm not one those who 'took' to Megan when she first appeared.
I think it was on this forum that I used the word false
She thought that she could maintain the 'act' but I'm afraid she's come unstuck.
I think Harry knows the situation he's in. But how does he get out of it?

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 20:56:59

It is sad Calendargirl

Calendargirl Sun 20-Oct-19 20:53:50

Anniebach

I suppose being the bride, she was the star spot, and yes, a confident one.
I’m not a Meghan supporter, just feel sad that things have gone downhill after such a lovely wedding day.
Off now to watch this H and M programme!

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 20:46:24

Took guts ? Or oodles of self confidence? In my opinion she wanted the star spot and got it.

Sorry Megan supporters but I do not trust her. And no, I do not hate her.

Calendargirl Sun 20-Oct-19 20:38:53

I think things have gone downhill sadly since that glorious wedding day. Personally, I think it took guts to walk alone even part of the way in the chapel in front of the eyes of the world, whether or not you’re an actress.
When that opera singer started to sing and Meghan set out with the sunlight dappled through the building, it was magical.
Regretfully, the magic has disappeared.

Anniebach Sun 20-Oct-19 18:38:57

Megan walked down the centre aisle alone, Charles met her at the entrance to the chancery , she also walked up the steps of the Chapel on her own.

One very confident woman
