Excuse the swearing grin

Urmstongran Mon 28-Oct-19 21:09:34

Joke:

What about the two old dears, one says "Are you voting in the second Brexit referendum?" and the other replies "I hope to. I wasn't old enough to vote the in the first one."

I thought this thread was hilarious - and it just got funnier ?

SirChenjin Mon 28-Oct-19 21:22:32

But that old hat I do like
Like it I do,
And the steam has not run
Why, it’s here, can’t you see?
And so, said the cat, while I’m wearing my hat
That is that.

Good to see those cartoons. Its healthy to laugh at it all. You need a sense of humour these days. grin

Paintingthetownred
Well you know what you can do, don't you?
Believe me, HQ will be laughing at these posts.

Pamphlets have been part of our history since the 17th century. Possibly even longer. I generally find them funny and quite clever even if they are poking fun at me.

Actually more interesting than I thought!

I guess they could be seen as an incitement to violence but I’d never thought about it in that way. I just see it as a way to put your point across using humour.

Opal Mon 28-Oct-19 22:14:52

Oh painting, I feel so sorry for you, your post says sooooo much about you, far more than you will ever be able to say about me.

Happy to have started a bit of light-hearted fun for everyone else grin

AllotmentLil Mon 28-Oct-19 22:21:51

Thanks Opal, and to everybody else who has contributed a joke - we all need cheering up! grin

Amagran Mon 28-Oct-19 23:53:01

Thank you, Opal for starting this thread, and to all the other contributors. It's great to have a laugh before returning to the confrontational rhetoric on the other threads.

growstuff Wed 30-Oct-19 11:53:05

OK, maybe not 100% Brexit, but Mark Francois is such a rabid Leaver ...

growstuff Wed 30-Oct-19 11:53:58

Is that a spoof, varian. I can't believe it's for real!

Gonegirl Wed 30-Oct-19 11:58:54

Love the one on *Opal's^ opening post.

Answer - YES!!!

varian Thu 31-Oct-19 22:49:36

This marvellous election poster was indeed produced by the "brexit party"

Callistemon Thu 31-Oct-19 23:05:10

This thread is hilarious!
Thank you Opal
Unfortunately I can't seem to copy and paste.

But did you hear about the couple who voted Brexit but are so fed up that we didn't leave the EU on 31st October as promised that they are leaving the UK instead.

They are emigrating to France today.

Maggiemaybe Sat 02-Nov-19 08:01:51

I like this one.

I choked on my coffee when I read the Enterprise one. Of course it's my favorite, too, being a "Trekkie" and all. grin It's so nice to see people from both sides on here laughing. Truly lifted my spirits tonight.
