I think it's going to be easy to spot Cunnings brainwashing but it could be fun to see what we can collect. My first this morning (they have been trying this out previously) was Matt (nice but dumb) trying to convince us that "parliament blocked Bexit". He fairly obviously didn't believe it himself but a point each time you spot it and please add any others that you hear.

(I could say this is only for anti-Tories but we all know the Tories can't manage without taking from others so we better let them join in too).

Oh yes gg3 an excellent thread. I didn’t listen to radio this morning.

I will add to it.

This People V Parliament is going to be the theme isn’t it?

Easy to dispute though.

I have just complained to my local BBC radio because once again they blamed Labour for the global collapse rather that the US bankers and the sub-prime market.

I have given up years ago explaining that the millennium bug wasn't a myth, but was fixed by loads of IT workers like me working overtime.

How do you get these myths debunked?

By keep flogging the truth.

We already have an austerity thread repeating the same tired lies.

Easy to dispute though

I don't think you can get these myths debunked, yggdrasil.

The number of people who can be fooled all of the time would appear to be increasing rapidly!

Easy to dispute in writing on here WWmk2 but - listening to phone ins is a dispiriting exercise. The number of people who repeat the nonsense as 'fact' is worrisome. Even more worrisome is the decreasing likelihood of the journalist , host or interviewer correcting fake facts or myths.

We have an expert giving correct, well informed information followed by an angry individual with fixed views ranting . OK I should stop listening to these things. Except you do get an insight into the level of anger and nonsensical thinking.

I think you can only keep facing people with the truth. Many who had extermination camps down the road during the war, chose not to believe their own senses. Even when they were taken through them, when allied forces found them, there were still conspiracy stories made up. It's very hard for people to believe they have been wrong if they have never learnt to reflect on and test their thinking.

I've spotted the first Labour one "It's time for a change". So point for spotting that too.

A point for "stymied Parliament" and triple bonus points for "drain the swamp".

Oh, and one for "Can Boris be Trusted" but that may be called 'out' as it seemed to be by someone saying what the Labour Party should do as in "Can Boris be trusted with the NHS, jobs, your future, etc". So I will wait and claim it if it happens.
