The Brexit Party are going to field 600 candidates today - reported in the news just now.
Good Morning Sunday 10th May 2026
Farage has trousered a lot of money from a lot of gullible people since he started his company with no accountability whatsoever.
It is rumoured that he has squirrelled the money away and it isn’t available to fund candidates standing for his company.
Q. Can a company stand in a political election?

Is there any other job that you could fail to turn up for and still keep it? twitter.com/i/status/1191288029761220609
As far as the 'pact' goes, it might not be official but I'm willing to bet that it is going on unofficially as I have already read of one of the Brexit company standing down in favour of a Tory.
MOnica I think you've just about summed up the man. I suspect he's worked out that there's a captive audience for his kind of rhetoric in the US and he'll be able to make more money when his "services" as an MEP are no longer required.
As a matter of interest, do you know what's actually in the "deal" Urmstongran, and how Johnson's and May's deals differ?
It seems to me that your opinion of a deal depends on who likes it, not what's actually in it.
I really don't understand the logic of claiming that it's "not a deal" just because the EU "likes" it.
In your opinion, what does Farage actually want?
Monica I love your description of Farage - "a flea on the rump of the political horse." Brilliant.
I wonder if he'll disappear off to the US.
grandad if they don’t realise they have been fooled then there is no hope.
The man is a fascist.
Hi Grandad I was one of the NF supporters! I think in answer to your question is that, at the time, he DID seem to be our saviour as he was the only politician who seemed able to promise Brexit - compared to Theresa May’s supplicant deal.
As ever in politics, events can change rapidly. Boris has come up with an improved deal (the Remainers say it’s worse therfore it must be a better Brexit!)
NIgel is probably correct - what’s on offer ‘isn’t Brexit’ but pragmatism will win out now with most Leavers. It’s the nearest we’ve come to a decent deal (or treaty) in 3+ years. The EU seem more than happy with it (so it probably isnt Brexit!) but I suppose it’s a compromise.
I’m happy to go for that as, with much more of this, I fear we will end up with no Brexit at all.
What I would like to know is where are all those on this forum who so praised Farage up when he launched the Brexit Organisation in January. At that time in the eyes of those members, Farage was Britains arch saviour who was about to rescue us all from the dreadful locking embrace of the European Union.
Some even made "boast" of the fact that they had paid a subscription to his organisation. However, it now states little for their judgment, and yet they expect others to believe that judgment when they tell us remain adherents how wonderful it will be when this nation has left the EU.
What a load of horse dug.
Farage is a flea on the rump of the political horse. He isn't interested in the hard grind of day to day political work, He just enjoys nipping the horse and making it squirm.
He founded UKIP, which only functioned while he was in charge. Every time he got bored and tried to move on, it collapsed. In the end he got terminally bored with it and left it to decline into the rather nasty rightwing deflated balloon it is now and founded a new party. Which left him in a dilemma.
There is a chance that the Brexit party could win a seat in the coming election and he would be expected to stand for a seat where he could end up an MP and that is the last thing he wants.
Its the being in the public eye and being considered important and fawned on by the likes of Trump that matters to him, the last thing he wants to do is become an MP and be judged on his -in-capacity to get down to the hard work, and it is hard work, no matter what people say, of being a constituency MP.
Maybe he doesn’t want to resign as an MEP and the money he’s getting. All the Brexit candidates had to pay Farage £100 to stand ,so thats more money in his coffers. Who knows who the candidates are, just self serving acolytes.
Ginny42, well one thing is now clear, whatever the number of Brexit organisation MPs get elected to parliament (if any) following the forthcoming General Election they will have no leader. He has now "turned chicken" and run out of that incumbrance.
I am sure the above is much to the disappointment of those on this forum who have consistently sung his praises and even paid a subscription to his organisation.
Those forum members now seem to have fallen very quiet in this thread and others in regard to Farage.
Could it be that they now realise just what this excuse for a person and politician this man is? Could it be that they may begin to realise just what falsehoods and bull they have taken in by all who have fed them the lie that Brexit will be some kind of utopia that in reality just does not exist?
Could it be? ?
So what is he up to? He's organising candidates for a large number of constituencies and he doesn't have to be an MP himself. Should some of them end up in Westminster, their jobs become redundant once Brexit is triggered surely?
Are the Brexit Party MPs then going remain in Parliament for the full term and be passing judgement on issues about which they have no knowledge of/ or manifesto for?
hear, hear.
variant = varian.
I will get it right at some point this evening. ??
Did I hear aright that Farage has tried seven times to become an MP.
You’d have thought he would have got the message by now
Good riddance I feel.
Apologies, above post should state variant above and not variant.
Autocorrect again!
variant, I agree with your post @19:15 today and I stand to be corrected in my post @17:43 where I stated the Brexit party had members where I should have stated supporters.
However, when Fascist Farage launched his "so-called" party in January this year there were many on this forum who rallied to his support with some even stating they had made a paid subscription to the Farage organisation.
He has stated that the Brexit organisation will be standing candidates in every constituency in the forthcoming election, but of course, the exception will be Farage will not be one of those candidates.
That begs the question, should his organisation be elected to government, as it's leader Farage would not be open to being scrutinised by parliament.
Would we then see a "Puppet" Prime Minister appointed by the Farage, or would the first action by the Brexit Members in the House of Commons be to attempt a prorogue Parliament indefinitely so at to allow their leader to rule in his desired wish of a Fascist dictator?
As far as we know the so-called "brexit party" has no members.
It has supporters who paid money but have no say in the policies, leadership or selection of candidates.
It is a private company and the only person who has a say is liar Farage. How stupid would you have to be to support this?
Farage leads a party in which the members have no say in making any of the parties policies. The leader of that party is the sole person who decides policy which makes for an organisation led by a Dictator.
Dictators do not open themselves up to democratic choice, hence the reason why Farage will not be standing for any consistency seat in the forthcoming General Election.
Farage is a Fascist in every sense of the word.
Maybe he's had his teeth done and got a few new suits.
What has happened to all the money then?
Maybe he doesn't actually want Brexit as it will continue to be a mess for years to come - plus he wouldn't have a job or anything to spout on about..
Frit, for sure.
In the meantime, he is struggling to find suitable candidates for all constituencies. Some real ????? are coming to light- as in West Worthing:
''What a delight it is to discover that my local Brexit Party candidate is an Australian citizen, born in the United States, has been here since 2018 and who has never lived in the town.''
He announced this morning that he would not be a candidate in the general election. Perhaps after being rejected by the voters seven or eight times he has got the message.
The problem with Farage is that he is a self publicist who’s only topic is Brexit - there is nothing else at all, single issue candidates do sometimes get elected but his comparison with Hitler is over the top.
Once Brexit is settled he will disappear, hopefully to the US, it would worry me more if the Tories offered him a safe seat and he became a Tory MP. I really don’t like extreme politics of the left or right because after a few years popularity wanes and the pendulum swings in the opposite direction
